We were lucky to catch up with Ajitha Srinivasan recently and have shared our conversation below.
Ajitha, appreciate you joining us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
I love answering this question because over the last decade, I have taken some BIG risks in my life and career around the same time. The year 2019 comes to my awareness as the it was the same year I got divorced, I quit my job and started my business while discovering my mother’s stage 4 cancer diagnosis. The first two events were fully my doing – it was I who chose those steps in my life and career. It was a huge risk for me to not only let go of any support relationship-wise from a 22year long relationship, I voluntarily left a cushy multi six figure job as a SVP in a Bank to start my business, thereby letting of any financial support as well.
My life and career were leading up to this moment with my awakening in 2015. I was unfulfilled in both areas – personal relationship & professional career. As they say, when your heart takes over, your mind does not have a chance. Logically it made no sense to embark on these big changes around the same time but here I was completely led by my heart, letting go of anything that no longer felt right and true for me.
The only reason I could do this was because I was in love. In love with life, its possibilities for me, to be the singer I always wanted to be, to be the healer I always knew I was, to be the artist I am born to me, to be the leader I came here to be. My commitment was to tune into a deeper intelligence within me and it has always made me feel loved, courageous, safe and hopeful.
Fast forward now 5 years later, after my mother crossed over in 2021, I have been taking risks every year with my business. Going from Agile Consulting to Leadership Coaching for Corporate leaders to launching a program for spiritually inclined Entrepreneurs, there has never been a dull moment. These 5 years have seen me shed so much of what was not aligned for me as an Entrepreneur by continuously pivoting, and I am still in the process of uncovering the best ways by which I could be of service to the world. As I share this article, I am embarking on offering my leadership coaching, training, facilitating and speaking services to Corporations.
If there is one thing life I have learnt by taking risks is I rather take risk than regret. I have learnt to not let my fears be in the driver’s seat of my life. Whether it is to let go of a relationship that no longer feels aligned or a business offering, the virtues and qualities I developed as a leader ARE the same – to let go, trust, surrender and let love and life be the guide.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
Many to list. The first series I would like to share – that helped me in my spiritual journey is Spiritual Growth by Sanaya Roman. I am now an avid follower of her and Duane Parker’s work.
On the Entrepreneurial front, I have taken many many many courses from the stalwarts in the Digital Business space. I credit my ability to run a business today to many of those curators.
On the Leadership topic, my favorite books are Mastering Leadership by Bob Anderson & Bill Adams, Rewiring the Corporate Brain by Dana Zohar, Reinventing Organizations by Frederic Laloux.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
I would say LinkedIn by far has been my best source of new clients as a Platform. Its ok to cold outreach people on that platform and for those who have a corporate focused offering, its a great one to leverage.
