We were lucky to catch up with Aja Lockhart recently and have shared our conversation below.
Aja, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
My newest book is the most meaningful project I have worked on up to this point. It is titled “How Thoughts Become Things: Gratitude and Manifestation.” Sharing stories that help us navigate life to the fullest is one of my passions, and I wanted to share how practicing gratitude and being thankful can create more positivity in your life.

Aja, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I started blogging about 3 years ago to share stories with others. I have also written two books. All of the things I write are about self-help and reflection. I believe what makes my writing relatable is that I take what I’ve learned from my experiences and try to use it to keep others from going down negative paths that I may have gone down. I often talk about my life an experiences to give examples.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
When I first started my blog I wrote about things that I thought other people would want to read. I received views, but it was difficult to be consistent because it wasn’t my passion. I decided that I needed to write about the things that interest me. I figured if I’m interested in it, someone else might be too. Once I started writing about what motivates me, I received so much more love and support.
Being a financial success is important, but don’t lose sight of what you started for. If you have a meaningful purpose behind your passion make sure not to lose it to appease your audience. Your audience is there because they appreciate the special thing that you bring that no one else does.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a writer for me is when I hear someone say that they can relate to what I’m writing or that it makes them feel heard. I love to hear people say that they have shared my writing with others and it was something that resonated with them. It makes me feel like I am fulfilling my purpose.
