We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Aisha Robinson a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Aisha, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
Well this journey all started when I lost by job during Covid and I refused to sit around and wait on things to be handed to me, I had to make the choice to get up and make something shake! A very close relative of mine reached out to me and she told me about the V-Steams and the benefits that has. I didn’t have to enroll in any classes but I did it to make sure that I had a certification to become a V-Steam practitioner and I was solid in the knowledge that I was taking in about our body as women. Once I was certified I then begin to write my biography The Courage to Whisper My Time to Speak, where you can find it on AMAZON. I must say taking that risk to do what I thought wasn’t possible was the best risk I could have ever taken on myself and believing in ME!

Aisha, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Well first and formost let me take the opportunity and time to thank the most high for his many blessings and love. I am 48 years young, I am a mother of 3 grown adult children ages 30, 28 & my son would have been 25 this year. I have 5 beautiful grandchildren, a loving and amazingly handsome husband who takes care of this family. My beautiful mother who is always has my front , back and both sides all the time.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
My story is one of a kind. Back in 2000 I loss my son to gun violence, he was shot and killed at 4 months old in Gwinnett County. December the 2nd of 2000 would change my life forever. After learning I would never see or hold my baby again I lost myself! I went into a deep dark depression, drinking heavily doing all kinds of drugs to try and numb my pain and in out of jail, caught a DUI and was sent down the road to Clayton’s women detention center for 4 months. That’s was the longest 4 months of my life. I had never been without my daughters before and that was enough for me to say Oh hell I HAVE TO DO BETTER, this is not what I wanted my girls to mimic. I was not being a good role model. After serving my time I was released and I knew I was not going back! Now when I got out I registered for school in business management but I did not finish and wound. In 2016 weeks had our class reunion and that is where I met my husband and best friend. We got together and his love, loyalty and trust worthiness to me was something I had never experienced. When I was with my kids father I was being abused so I didn’t know what real love, trust and honesty was in a relationship. We spent a great amount of time with each other and he was there every step of the way for me to heal and progress into the woman I am. I started my business in 2020, I got married in 2021 I wrote my book in August of 2022 called The Courage to Whisper My Time to Speak and we are still going strong. We put God first in everything we do and I am just forever grateful that I DON’T LOOK LIKE WHAT I HAVE BEEN THROUGH!

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I believe my reputation was built on consistency, transparency, and the quality of relationships I’ve developed over time. I’ve always focused on delivering value first — whether that’s through excellent customer service, meeting deadlines, or going the extra mile to understand client needs. Over time, that reliability helped establish trust, which is what really sustains a good reputation in any market.
