Aimee McDaniel, appreciate you joining us today. Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.

The biggest risk we have taken regarding our business, was actually starting it up! We are sister-in-laws that were having a fun day together, and we stubbled upon a boutique that was collaborating with another jewelry business. That is when the idea was born! On the way home, we began brainstorming about the idea of starting up a jewelry company in an extremely rural area. We looked into ways that would make our company stand out, and draw people towards us in a way that other local businesses can’t; and we landed on permanent jewelry. This was a big risk because the majority of people in our area had not seen or heard of this, so it was a whole new experience we were able to bring to them. We wanted this business to offer them an opportunity of fully personalizing a piece of jewelry, that was able to tell a story. Since we have taken this leap, we have been operating for over a year and a half. We travel around our area most weekends, and collaborate with other local small businesses in ways that both brands benefit. We have been given amazing opportunities that we never imagined, and have met such amazing people in the journey.

Hello, we are Aimee and Mary and we are the Welded Sisters! We are sisters-in-law and besties. We came together to build a business rooted in our love for jewelry. We love making people feel beautiful and confident in their new permanent pieces, and we are so grateful for all the opportunities we have found in this adventure. We believe that jewelry should be as authentic and unique as the person wearing it.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

We genuinely love and care for our customers, and strive to build a relationship with each and every one of them. Our customers feel the authenticity of our brand and this has grown into a supportive and positive reputation from our customer base.

How did you build your audience on social media?

The biggest growth has come from consistency with posting on our social media. In these posts, we showcase the pieces we have helped to crate, explain the qualities of permanent jewelry, and have fun in creating videos. We love showing our set up, especially to those who do not have the ability of joining us at out pop-up. Quick réponse time also plays a large role. Whether that is to messages 0r replaying to comments, being authentically us shows the true way we strive to run our company and connect with our supporters.
