Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Aideen Ni Riada. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Aideen, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Our mission at Resonate With Aideen is to empower individuals to reconnect with their true voice and live in alignment with their deepest values. This mission is deeply meaningful to us because it’s rooted in my personal journey of transformation and self-discovery.
For years, I struggled with self-doubt, unsure of my place in the world and the value I had to offer. My passion for singing and the desire to express myself authentically was often overshadowed by fear and insecurity. When I was 28, I was asked what my dream was and I replied ‘I want to be a singer but I can’t do that.’ My own doubts and disbelief were preventing me from taking any steps toward my goal.
But through years of personal growth, guided by a commitment to meditation, spiritual exploration, and a deep dive into psychology, I began to dissolve the barriers that held me back.
What I discovered along the way was not just my voice, but a profound connection to my true self. I realized that my struggles were not unique, and that many people feel disconnected from their authentic selves, unsure of how to express their true voice in both their personal and professional lives.
I’ve seen the incredible impact that finding your voice can have on every aspect of life. It’s not just about speaking up—it’s about living in alignment with who you truly are, embracing your unique value, and stepping forward with confidence.
Now, I’m dedicated to helping others on this journey. Whether it’s through voice coaching, intuitive mentoring, or speaking engagements, my goal is to inspire and empower individuals to break through their self-imposed limitations and live a life that truly resonates with their core values.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My journey into this work started with my own struggles. I used to feel like I wasn’t being heard, despite having a lot to say. That’s what led me to study psychology, voice coaching, and public relations, and eventually, to develop my own unique blend of mentoring that combines all of these disciplines with spirituality and intuition.
I work with ambitious women, especially those in male-dominated industries, who often feel stuck between feeling like they’re “too much” or “not enough.” They’ve ticked all the boxes, worked hard, and achieved so much, but somehow still doubt themselves and their ability to fully express who they are. If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone—and I’m here to help.
Through intuitive mentoring, communication coaching, and voice training, I guide my clients to reconnect with their confidence, dissolve the stress and self-doubt that hold them back, and step forward into their potential with clarity. I know life can feel overwhelming at times, and I believe that finding your voice is a powerful step toward creating more balance, peace, and fulfillment.
What makes my approach unique is that I don’t just focus on communication skills. I help you transform those moments when you feel the rug is being pulled from under you into opportunities for growth and self-empowerment. We work together to understand what’s really going on and help you step into your true voice and purpose.
One thing I’m most proud of is watching my clients go from feeling frustrated and silenced to showing up fully and being heard. They become more confident, clear, and grounded in themselves, which naturally leads to better relationships, more fulfilling work, and greater peace of mind.
It is absolutely possible to break free from the patterns that are holding you back. You don’t have to keep quiet or play small anymore. I’m here to support you in finding your voice and using it to create a life that’s aligned with your true values.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
There are two key lessons I’ve learned. The first is to not only seek positive reinforcement but to also pay attention to how I react to resistance or what I call “negative reinforcement.” When I was younger, I surrounded myself with people who told me I could do anything, which sounded great in theory. However, that constant encouragement actually left me feeling ungrounded. I wasn’t able to manifest much because I didn’t take consistent, day-to-day action.
For a long time, I pursued a professional singing career, believing in it and focusing on it, but I wasn’t acting on it enough. A big part of that hesitation came from a belief that my father unknowingly instilled in me. Whenever I’d say I wanted to be a singer, he’d respond with, “You can’t make money in music.” My dad was a strong influence in my life, and since he rarely voiced his opinions, this one stuck with me for a long time.
Over time, I realized that while my father’s advice was well-meaning, it was also limited by his own experience. Once I accepted that, I was able to forgive him and understand that his words didn’t define my potential. Interestingly, my devastated reaction to his doubts became a signal to me of how important music truly was to me. That’s why I call it “negative reinforcement”—because, even though it felt discouraging, it actually reinforced what I knew deep down: this was my passion.
The second lesson is about the value of honest feedback. In my younger years, I avoided critical feedback, preferring praise. But I’ve since learned that true friends—and even mentors—aren’t just there to tell you how great you are; they also offer constructive criticism that helps you grow. Now, when I listen to that feedback and address my own feelings, I feel empowered to make changes and excited about what’s possible.
Have you ever had to pivot?
I’ve always had a strong stubborn streak, and it was that same determination that led me to London to pursue my dream of becoming a singer. But instead of making strides in my career, my life came to a standstill. I wasn’t earning enough money, I wasn’t singing, and I found myself stuck in a cycle of just working to get by. Things took a turn when I had a workplace disagreement that I couldn’t resolve in my favor. Still, I was too stubborn to step back and reassess what was realistic or practical.
My family became worried, and my dad, who rarely intervened, offered to help. He gave me money to stay in London for a little while longer, with the understanding that if I couldn’t turn things around in a month, I’d come back to Ireland. I think he thought I wouldn’t budge, because just a few weeks later, he showed up at my door with a plane ticket and letters from family members, expressing their concern.
It was the kind of intervention nobody wants, but it was exactly the wake-up call I needed. I moved back home, retraced my steps, and started rebuilding from the ground up. That was a turning point. I made a conscious decision that I didn’t want to work for someone else again, and I began developing business ideas around voice coaching. What started as a way to support singers evolved into a service for professionals in the workplace, too.
Since then, I’ve been continually surprised by how my path has unfolded. One piece of advice from a mentor stuck with me during that tough period: “You don’t need to deserve good things; you just need to keep sowing seeds.” That was a game-changer for me. Now, I focus on planting seeds for my business every day. It’s a much more grounded approach, helping me feel successful in the moment, rather than waiting for some big success at the end of the rainbow.
