I remember it like it was yesterday, working in a dealership and having your boss saying that you have “potential” but not allowing you to grow as an individual in your career field. I was the only female in my department and my boss sees all the hard work I put in and more and still had the nerve to let me that I needed to do more while my coworkers were doing the bare minimum. From that day I was like I can’t live like this and changed my field to a certified nurse assistant. Becoming a cna has improve my life in so many ways, having clients telling their life stories and etc. yes they are bad days but that’s part of life. But the good ones weigh more than the bad.

Hey everyone
My name is Aicha Soumaoro and I am a auto technician, certified nursing assistant and a model. I am also a child advocate for youth in the foster care system.

If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?

No I wouldn’t choose the same profession, I would have chosen plumbing or maybe study to become an RN.

How do you keep your team’s morale high?

My only advice is to treat your team the same way you’ll like to be treat. Because at the end of the day it’s your team that is your biggest fan and supporter.
