Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Adylia-Rhenee Gutierrez . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Adylia-Rhenee, appreciate you joining us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
To be successful it takes being unapologetically yourself, not allowing anyone to define what your business or brand should be and making tough decisions.
All these are forms of knowing your boundaries and being okay with feeling uncomfortable. The truth is it’s challenging when you have a vision and people may not understand or try to define your business.
Success is being able to find people who may not understand completely but respect the vision you have.
Adylia-Rhenee, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I created Yhorlife while I was at University. Initially, I created Yhorlife as a no fluff and real resource for healthy living and tips. We did interviews and writing. I created Yhorlife to be a safe haven where people get real and valuable information.
Since the beginning it has grown due to our community’s demands and needs.
We now have our BDYL™️ Coaching Program, our “Yhorlife Conversates” Podcast on IG, and our own Wellness Collection- daily gratitude journal, Artisan Soaps, Beard Oil, Kids Soaps and Bath Bombs.
I’m proud of everything but I’m most proud of our Wellness Collection!
Suffering from Eczema and Rosacea I learned how to make my own soaps and lotions at age 11.
Yhorlife’s Soaps are based in goat milk, Shea butter, aloe Vera, oatmeal, and jojoba. In addition with gemstones and Oud to aide in feeling luxurious and aide in intentions.
We’d love to hear about you met your business partner.
I’m lucky because he’s my brother!
We are very similar but different in certain areas. Yhorlife has expanded and grown due to his vision and my implementation.
We don’t always agree on the path but we’ve learned how to communicate and we trust each other in the areas we are strongest in.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
April 2022 our original Instagram got hacked and overnight I had lost years of work.
To say I was devastated was an understatement. It was a very defining time for me because we had our site but Instagram is how we connect and do our podcast and just EVERYTHING.
We started from scratch and I couldn’t be happier. I wasn’t happy at the time because it was a solid month of no sleep and figuring out the new layout etc. I’m so grateful how everything grew and our following grew even more.
It was an experience I don’t wish to repeat but grateful it happened.
