We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Adrienne Krizan a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Adrienne, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
I get asked sometimes if there was a defining moment that changed the direction of my career, and honestly — yes, there was.
Back in 2020, I was in a really hard place. Anxiety and depression had a hold on me, and even though I had built a good career in sales and marketing and was busy with family and community work, I felt like my body and mind just shut down. It was as if I had hit a wall. I couldn’t keep pushing the way I always had. Something had to change.
That season became my reset. I started exploring different wellness practices, and sound kept showing up in a powerful way. It gave me the peace, clarity, and grounding that I had been craving. It helped me reconnect with myself. Over time, it became clear that this wasn’t just something I wanted to experience — it was something I wanted to share with others.
In 2024, I officially launched The Loud Sound Bath, and it has been the most fulfilling chapter of my life so far. I get to guide people into a space where they can breathe, let go, and find that same reset I once needed so badly.
The biggest lesson for me is this: what feels like a breaking point can sometimes be the start of something new and beautiful. That hard season in my life is the reason I’m here now, creating spaces of rest and renewal for others.

Adrienne, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hi, I’m Adrienne, and I’m the founder of The Loud Sound Bath. My journey into this work really started in 2020, during a season when I was struggling with anxiety and depression. At that time, I realized I needed what I now call a “reset.” I began exploring different ways to slow down and reconnect with myself, and sound kept showing up as something deeply powerful. It gave me peace when I needed it most. That experience is what eventually led me to bring sound baths and meditation to others.
Today, I create full-service sound bath experiences — I provide everything from cozy yoga mats, bolsters, blankets, and eye masks to the guided meditation and sound immersion itself. I take care of all the details so people can simply show up, breathe, and let go. My sessions often begin with gentle meditation and breath work to help everyone settle in, followed by an immersion in sound from crystal singing bowls, chimes, and other instruments designed to support deep relaxation. I also have all the supplies needed for a floating sound bath experience either indoors or outside on any calm body of water. It is an amazing experience. I hold a Full Moon Sound Bath, every month, on the Full Moon’s schedule at a beautiful, outdoor setting. These events all weather, every month. A warm fire and blankets in the winter and fall and floating on the pond in the summer. An unforgettable experience.
I offer a mix of private sound baths (for things like girls’ nights, date nights, and special events), corporate sessions (for businesses that want to support their teams’ wellness), and community events (like full moon sound baths, winery sessions, and collaborations with yoga instructors). No matter the setting, the goal is the same: to create a safe, welcoming space where people can reset, recharge, and leave feeling lighter than when they arrived.
What sets me apart is that I focus on making the experience easy and accessible. You don’t have to bring anything or know anything beforehand — just come as you are. I want people to feel cared for from the moment they walk in, whether that means providing warm tea or cocoa at outdoor events, making sure every detail of the setup is comfortable, or guiding the group with a calm, approachable style.
I’m most proud of the way people leave my sessions telling me they feel rested, centered, and renewed. For me, that’s everything. This work grew out of my own personal journey, and now I get to share it in a way that supports others in theirs.
At the heart of it all, I want people to know that The Loud Sound Bath is about more than sound — it’s about creating a pause in the busyness of life, a space to breathe, reset, and reconnect with yourself.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the hardest lessons I’ve had to learn is that slowing down isn’t the same as falling behind. For so long, I lived in “go mode.” Between building my career in sales, raising a family, serving on boards, and saying yes to every responsibility that came my way, I wore busyness almost like a badge of honor. I thought the more I did, the more valuable I was.
But in 2020, I hit a wall. Anxiety and depression set in, and suddenly all that constant motion caught up with me. At first, slowing down felt foreign and uncomfortable. I equated rest with weakness, like I was somehow failing if I wasn’t always producing or performing. All while living with Rheumatoid Arthritis and chronic pain and issues that come with an aggressive auto-immune disease.
What I came to realize, though, is that stillness isn’t failure — it’s fuel. Learning to pause, to breathe, and to give myself space has been one of the most important lessons of my life. It changed the way I see myself and the way I move through the world.
The backstory may be a little messy, but the wisdom I took from it is clear. Slowing down doesn’t mean you’re falling behind, it’s often the only way to truly catch up with yourself.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
A story that really illustrates my resilience goes back to when I was navigating that difficult time in 2020. On the outside, everything looked fine — I had a stable career, a full calendar, and a lot of responsibilities I cared about. But on the inside, I was struggling with anxiety and depression in a way I had never experienced before. It felt like I was holding it all together with thread.
What makes that time stand out for me is that, even when I felt like shutting down and ending it all, I kept looking for a way forward. I didn’t have all the answers, and I certainly didn’t know then where it would lead, but I started taking small steps — exploring meditation, leaning into wellness practices, and allowing myself to be curious about what might help me feel whole again.
Sound was one of those discoveries. It gave me peace and rest when I needed it most, and I clung to that. Over time, that spark grew into something much bigger. Eventually becoming The Loud Sound Bath. Looking back, I realize resilience didn’t mean being unshakable or strong all the time. For me, it was about staying open to new possibilities, even when things felt heavy.
