Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Adrienne Francis. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Adrienne, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to start by getting your thoughts on what you are seeing as some the biggest trends emerging in your industry
In today’s times its a lot different from when I first started out with my great aunt. One of today’s trends wearing our product, which is great for us because it makes out product that more versatile. Another trend that I am seeing in my shop is that high end sleepwear is far out selling our regular daily sleepwear & also our more sensual lingerie is selling like hot cakes! We can’t keep the sensual lingerie in, its selling so quickly it’s hard for me to keep up with the ordering! All three of those trends have changed since Covid especially in the last year. It definitely keeps us on our toes!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers?
My great aunt Rebecka started this business 43 years ago because there was a need in Nashville for specialty sized lingerie and bras. I grew up in the shop, surrounded by gorgeous bras, lace & silk gowns and robes. It was like being in a fantasy land. Throughout my life, I have worked in other industries, however none have given me the sense of satisfaction I get from making such an intimate and dramatic change in a person’s everyday life. I’ve also garnered an appreciation for the struggles that most women have and the frustrations that can come with finding a properly fitted bra. I feel blessed to have been taught by one of the best and honored to carry on the family tradition.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I would say that our resilience story revolves around the Covid 19 pandemic. Things were not looking good for this small business. Many bras stores eventually shut down completely during this time. My resolve was to keep this store afloat even if it meant going into debt. Many loyal, long-time customers reached out and placed orders knowing that I needed their help. I was able to make sales via phone and email and would ship them out as they arrived. There were days when I only sold one item, but that was a few more dollars that allowed me to keep the lights on. Additionally, the demand for more sensual lingerie and pajamas grew, as people were living and working from home, shifting our focus with great results. Once the pandemic lifted, and people were going back to work, we saw record bra store Although we are still experiencing distribution and backorder issues sales have continued to grow and new clientele are walking in the door daily. We could not have made it without our customers. Focus on exceptional customer service has always made the difference and I believe it has carried us through this difficult time. I am forever grateful.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Throughout the years our main source of advertising was word of mouth, which is still a major source of referrals. In the last several years we have seen a surge in new clientele simply through advertising and listing with Google. Not a day goes by without someone saying they found us on Google. I’d say “That’s money well spent!”
