We were lucky to catch up with Adrienne Dean recently and have shared our conversation below.
Adrienne, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. One of our favorite things to brainstorm about with friends who’ve built something entrepreneurial is what they would do differently if they were to start over today. Surely, there are things you’ve learned that would allow you to do it over faster, more efficiently. We’d love to hear how you would go about setting things up if you were starting over today, knowing everything that you already know.
If I was to start over. I would first learn more about financial literacy and the importance it has when and building business and personal credit.

Adrienne, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am a 2018 graduate of American Intercontinental University with a B.F.A in Media Production with a specialization in audio and sound design and also a degree in Associates Of Applied Science in Business and Management. I currently own commercial photography and video production company called Chaelle Visuals LLC.
I definitely play many roles! I also still work a full-time position with a major company as a video production specialist, which we develop and film training videos.
Well, I have always had a passion to be in the film and entertainment industry since a very young age. I started out first at the age of 13 singing and dancing in Gulfport, MS. I did talent shows, fashion shows, and showcases around the gulf coast area. My dad got me interested in cameras because he use to shoot for a hobby and I always kept asking him questions about it so he gave me my first camera when I was around 17 or 18 and it took off from there. I started getting into photography and taking pictures of my friends. I also wanted to get into acting! In 2013-2014 I had the opportunity to get a chance to be on a movie set at the time they started filming ” A Girl Like Grace” which the screenplay was by Ty Hodges and Jacquin DeLeon and the producers were Megan Good, Datari Turner, Carnetta Jones, and Matt Keith. So when I got on that set, it sparked a feeling inside that motivated me, and knew I wanted to do more.
I, later on, got the opportunity to move out to Atlanta around 2013-2014 with my Aunt for a while to start pursuing a career in music and film. I started out in acting classes first and auditioned with my first agency XCEL Talent Agency during my first-year things were pretty slow I did a few auditions but then decided I wanted to learn more behind the scenes. I ended up searching on some Facebook groups to see who I can network with and get in contact with and I came across a talented director/writer Vashmere Valentine he asked would I like to be a production assistant on some of his projects, and from that experience, I knew then and there I was on the right path. Later on, he told me about the school he was attending American InterContinetal University, and how they had an awesome Media Production Program. When I did my tour at the school, I knew I was in the right place and enrolled in school. I met a great group of individuals there that I now call my family and also help keep me motivated as I watch their journey blossom,
I also started a company in 2015 which was also a film and photography business with another associate where we filmed behind the scenes with a studio called U.E.D Studios whom have worked with a lot of major artists in the industry such as Teddy Riley, Musiq Soulchild, and the lists go on. So I got a lot of hands-on learning behind the camera around that time. In 2018, it was decided that we go on different paths and I decided to continue with the photography and video and came up with Chaelle Visuals LLC.
Fast forward, I got to work with some amazing individuals and learn from them as well. I could go on all day but if we get a chance to meet let’s chat I would love to hear your stories and also help you with your projects!
