Adrienne, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
A defining moment in my professional career was the moment I decided to launch my own business. Leveraging the wealth of knowledge and skills I had acquired over the years, I took the leap into entrepreneurship with a blend of excitement, fear and determination.
This significant step not only allowed me to apply my expertise in innovative ways but also presented me with the opportunity to create a unique healthcare service line that catered to the specific needs of smaller healthcare systems.
As I navigated the complexities of establishing and growing my own business, I embraced challenges as opportunities for growth, refined my strategic decision-making abilities, and cultivated a deep sense of resilience in the face of adversity. This defining moment not only marked a new chapter in my professional life but also fueled my passion for making a meaningful impact in healthcare on a smaller level.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My career in healthcare has been a transformative journey that began with a passion for helping others.
I started at George Washington University-Neurosurgery Department which launched my desire to go into the management aspect of healthcare. While at the University I pursued a rigorous education in healthcare, equipping myself with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in this challenging field.
During my time at the University I gained invaluable insights into the complexities of the healthcare system, the nuances of patient care, and the importance of compassion and empathy in every interaction. These experiences then allowed me the opportunity to work with independent/private medical practices and grow these practices within existing healthcare systems.
Each step of my journey reinforced my commitment to a my career development, growth and success in the ever-evolving field of healthcare.
If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
I would choose my career as a healthcare professional again because of the profound fulfillment and the opportunity to continuously learn and grow in a dynamic field, and the privilege of working alongside dedicated colleagues to provide compassionate care and support to those in need.
Have you ever had to pivot?
During my life there has been many times in which I have had to pivot in both life and business.
The most profound pivot for me was transitioning from a hospital office setting to working for myself in a home office during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic
I had to quickly adapt to new ways of virtual interactions/communication with new clients. This shift required me develop new skills in communication and strategic planning of not only my business but my personal life as well.
