Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Adrien Blackwell. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Adrien, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the kindest thing anyone has ever done for you?
What’s the kindest thing anyone has ever done for you? Give us the backstory so we can fully appreciate the context, circumstances and what you must have felt like at the moment and why it mattered so much or was so meaningful to you.
Many years ago, I was driving home from Burning Man in my car. At the time, I wasn’t making much money yet and was just starting to establish my career. I’d have months where I earned a lot, followed by months where I earned almost nothing. My car was essential—it was my way to get to Los Angeles for media work, and I practically lived out of it, moving between hotels. So, you can imagine how important that car was to me.
On the way home, while driving through the mountains, something went wrong, and my car stopped working. My friend, and I ended up stranded on the side of an exit. We called another friend, author Hale Mednick, who was a few hours behind us, also leaving the festival. About 30 minutes away from us, he finally got cell phone reception and heard our message. When he arrived, he assessed the situation and asked what I wanted to do—call roadside service, take the car to a shop, or drop us off somewhere. He was ready to do whatever it took.
I started panicking. I didn’t want to leave my car because, in my mind, my life was in that car. I couldn’t think straight, and nothing I was saying made sense. Hale calmly said, “Okay, I’ll pitch a tent, and we can stay here with your car.” He was being a real friend, offering calm support in a way I had never experienced before. That’s when I realized how much I was panicking. I took a deep breath and said, “No, let’s call roadside service and get the car somewhere. We’ll figure it out from there.” I understood how crazy it was to sleep next to my car and still have to deal with it later. But his offer brought me instant clarity and peace.
My friends worked hard to help, and a week later, my car was fixed, and I was back on the road. That experience has stayed with me for 20 years. It taught me the power of genuine support and staying calm in moments of panic. Since then, whenever I’m nervous, I lean on support, and when others are nervous, I give them support. It calms both the spirit and the mind.
People often tell me I’m calming, and I believe it was this moment that helped me become that person.
Adrien, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Adrien Blackwell, and I’m a celebrity healer and the host of the Making Miracles Happen Series, where I interview celebrities, influencers, and spiritual entrepreneurs. I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing international figures such as actor Hudson Leick, James Arthur Ray (from The Secret), Laura Eisenhower, TEDx speakers, and experts from shows like A&E’s Paranormal State.
I started my career as a psychic, working with Hollywood celebrities, heiresses, and many others. I’ve been featured in magazines, newspapers, documentaries around the world, and appeared on TV shows. One of my favorite experiences was doing readings for Sirius Radio’s Playboy Radio—so much fun! I have plenty of wild stories from those days, but despite the excitement, I faced a constant struggle. I was afraid to be seen, afraid to be wrong, and the pressure of being a psychic in the public became overwhelming.
For six years, my spirit guides kept telling me I was a healer, but I kept rejecting the idea. They spoke to me loud and clear, yet I continued to say “no,” even as I took energy healing courses! How could healing ever be as exciting as being a psychic? How could I possibly make a living from it? My psychic readings even saved two lives which fueled the belief that my guides had it wrong.
I started this business when I was about 20, and while I received clear guidance, I didn’t fully trust it. Even though I resisted, I kept taking class after class, learning over thirteen different energy healing modalities—just in case it was ever needed for family, friends, or myself. Deep down, I knew something had to change. The readings were burning me out, even making me sick. Desperate and on the verge of quitting to get a “real job,” I went to my guides for help. They told me they had a plan, but it would take a year and a half to unfold.
During that time, I learned another healing modality, and when I finally integrated everything—Medical Qigong, Reiki, Theta Healing, Reconnection, ReGenesis, Reflectology, and more—I started working on myself. In just three months, my entire world changed. I offered free healings to my psychic clients, and nearly all of them shifted from readings to healings, because their results were as transformative as mine. Miracles started happening overnight, and things took off from there.
My own life improved dramatically—my health improved, my income tripled, and after 18 years of rejecting love, I’ve been in a committed relationship for the past seven years. I learned that heart healing is the key to receiving all the good things in life. The heart (a magnetic force) holds the power of love and gratitude, whether we express it freely or it’s locked away. When it’s imprisoned, we suffer from lack—lack of prosperity, lack of connection, and lack of love.
Today, I specialize in helping women who have given up on love, choosing to focus on their careers because they feel they can control money but not love. These women are tired of heartbreak and feeling unlovable, but deep down, they secretly yearn for love. With my healing, women no longer have to choose between money and love—they can have both! Through heart-centered healing, I help them open up to true, lasting love and real pleasure. Many of my clients are highly successful in their careers but feel unfulfilled in love. By opening their hearts, we also heal other areas of their lives—money, family relationships, and more. That’s why I adopted the slogan: “You can have it all—or get pretty damn close!” because I’ve seen it happen time and time again.
I help solve the problem of being closed off to love, which keeps people in pain, single, or stuck in loveless marriages. I’ve seen marriages transformed and thrive because one person was willing to do the healing work. I absolutely love what I do, and I love the people I work with. My guides never gave up on me, and for that, I’m eternally grateful. Thanks to them, I can have it all—and I’m pretty damn close.
Once a year, I offer a special energy healing certification program, which is taught online in a group setting, but can also be done one-on-one for those who prefer a more intensive experience. I guide people to become healers by helping them discover their unique style of healing, so they can feel confident, powerful, and succeed in a world that deeply needs healing and love. It’s truly an empowering experience.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I keep in close touch with my clients by meeting weekly or bi-weekly. Even when they’re taking a short break, I encourage them to write in or Voxer me with any wins, so we can celebrate together! This ongoing connection through happiness, joy, and celebration has helped me build lasting relationships. It’s also one of the reasons my clients manifest things so quickly—everyone should get used to celebrating!
I also have a large subscriber community on my email list, and I often ask people to share their stories with me. When they write in with personal stories, questions, or inquiries about working together, I always respond personally. While my team handles logistics like scheduling and technical issues, I’m the one engaging with my audience. Sometimes, it can take a few days to respond due to the volume of messages I receive, but it’s always me doing the communicating. I believe this personal touch has been key in building trust and fostering loyalty over time. In fact, many people have shared this with me.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
I’ve been in this field for about 25 years, having started early, so I have a lot of experience to share. Helping spiritual entrepreneurs is a side passion for me because I’m great at it, it’s fun, and it feels like a calling of its own. One of my greatest passions is seeing people succeed. That’s why I’ve included business-growth support to my Healers Certification Program—healers shouldn’t be in the shadows; they should be out there growing and helping others, which means they need to succeed, right? My journey into discovering what truly works has been long and extensive, but it’s tried and true.
Back in the day, media outlets like Sirius Radio helped me find clients, and word of mouth was essential. As social media evolved and business changed rapidly, I had to pivot and adapt. Facebook worked wonders for a few years, but as things shifted, so did my approach. New methods can work, but they’re fickle, changing as fast as an algorithm does. Your business can thrive one day and nearly disappear the next. Now, my main strategy for attracting clients is through JV (Joint Venture) partnerships, online events, conferences, podcasts, and online introductions. Collaborating with others helps us grow and thrive in this ever-changing landscape.
Just to show you how well this works, I interviewed a lovely animal communicator named Alison Smith Martin of Animal Soul Connections, who introduced me to Terrie Huberman, a healer for Spiritually Sensitive Individuals experiencing anxiety. Alison thought we (Terrie and I) were two awesome people who should know each other, and four months later, I was asked to do this interview because Terrie recommended me for it. Human connection—we all need it to thrive. You never know what wonderful things can come from these incredible connections.
Though I’ve pivoted many times, connections and JV partners have always been the foundation of my business. Years ago, we called them networking meetings—where people introduced themselves, shared what they did, and partnered to promote each other’s work. Those partnerships helped people thrive. Today, we do the same thing online. Promoting someone in a complementary field can work wonders, and word of mouth is still one of the most powerful tools. Joint partnerships can truly make you millions.
The reason this works is simple—humans need connection. We aren’t meant to be lone wolves. When you look at successful people, they consistently credit their success to allowing others to help them. It’s about being open to both giving and receiving support. That’s why I believe healing is so important—many people struggle for years, thinking they have to do it all alone. Healing opens you up to these vital connections, making it easier to build a business.
In my opinion, the first connection you should make when building your business is with someone who can offer help and support. Build connections, be seen, and do the inner work you need to make success flow more easily.
