Adriana, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
For as long as I can remember, creativity has been as natural to me as breathing. It wasn’t a single moment that defined my path; rather, a collection of small, defining moments drew me to a life filled with art and ideas.
Growing up, I was always creating. Drawing, painting, crafting—anything I could find became a part of my projects. I remember designing my own birthday cards, creating posters for imaginary movies, and turning my bedroom wall into my own evolving gallery. In school, I’d weave creativity into everything I touched. My teachers would smile and say things like, “You should really consider art as a career,” and their words became little signposts along the way.
As I got older, I started noticing something unusual about myself. While most people would sit down to enjoy a film or a TV show, I was mesmerized by the ads. I loved the storytelling, the mood, the way a thirty-second spot could take you somewhere completely new. Ads made me think, made me feel something, and I realized I was seeing creativity in a way that most people around me weren’t. I didn’t just enjoy watching commercials—I studied them. And with that, I started to understand that there was this whole world of creativity that lived in advertising, a world where art could be dynamic, powerful, and purposeful.
After high school, I began researching advertising agencies, curious to learn more about this industry that fascinated me. I found an agency willing to take me on as an intern, starting out on the account side. I didn’t mind being behind the scenes at all—it was thrilling just to be part of the process. But every chance I got, I’d peek over at the creatives—the ones who seemed to live in this world of brainstorming wild concepts, sketching out visuals, breathing life into ideas.
I’d watch them refine images, pick colors, debate over the tiniest details that would transform an idea into something memorable. I could feel this magnetic pull, a spark that told me this was where I was meant to be. It wasn’t just a job; there was an energy in that room, a rhythm to their work, that made creativity feel alive and purposeful in a way I hadn’t experienced before. And in that moment, I knew—I didn’t just want to be a part of advertising. I wanted to create, to be one of those people who bring ideas to life and shape the stories people remember.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m an art director with a passion for turning visual ideas into compelling brand stories. With over a decade of experience working across major markets—Paris, Miami, and Madrid—I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with some of the world’s most iconic brands, from luxury fashion houses to innovative tech companies, always with the goal of creating memorable campaigns that resonate deeply with audiences.
Creativity has always been in my blood, but my entry into advertising was sparked by a fascination with how ads can evoke emotions and shape perceptions. Early in my career, I joined an agency as an account trainee, where I found myself captivated by the work of the creative team. It didn’t take long before I realized that this was where I belonged—on the creative side, shaping visuals, crafting narratives, and ultimately bringing brands to life.
Today, I specialize in visual campaign development, art direction, and brand storytelling. My work is all about blending strategic insights with artistic expression, helping brands communicate who they are through powerful, cohesive visuals. I tackle everything from comprehensive branding projects to specific ad campaigns, and I’m always looking for ways to elevate each client’s unique voice.
Clients often come to me when they’re at a pivotal moment in their brand journey—they may be launching something new, evolving their identity, or looking to reach their audience in a fresh way. My goal is to create visual stories that capture their core essence while engaging their audience in a meaningful, memorable way. This often means refining or reimagining how a brand is presented so that it connects authentically with its intended audience.
I think my combination of strategic thinking and artistry sets my work apart. I don’t see visuals as just “pretty” images but as carefully constructed touchpoints that communicate, inspire, and move people. Clients often tell me they appreciate my eye for detail and the way I can bring a concept to life in a way that feels real, polished, and impactful. Having worked with diverse brands across different cultural landscapes, I bring a nuanced understanding of what makes a visual story resonate.
I’ve been fortunate to work on award-winning campaigns that have been recognized both for their creativity and effectiveness. One particular project that stands out was Purina Street-Vet, that was awarded across multiple creative awards globally, like Cannes Lions. These experiences have reinforced my belief in the power of thoughtful, intentional design to not only elevate a brand but also leave a lasting impression.
Ultimately, I want my work to reflect my dedication to both creativity and client vision. I believe in the transformative power of creativity and storytelling, and I approach each project as a unique opportunity to make something amazing. For me, it’s about more than just visuals—it’s about creating something with depth, meaning, and a clear voice that resonates.
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
Something I think non-creatives may not fully grasp is just how unpredictable and elusive creativity can be. Creativity isn’t something you can pin down, calculate, or pull from a formula—it’s more like a mysterious, intangible spark. As a creative, you never truly know where your ideas will come from, and just as importantly, you never know if or when they’ll stop coming. It’s a strange process to depend on something that feels almost magical, something that happens in your brain without an exact science behind it.
Unlike tasks that have a clear structure, like filling in an Excel sheet or solving an equation, creative work involves a kind of intuition that can’t always be forced. Some days, ideas flow effortlessly, and other days, they just… don’t. You hit that “blank brain” moment where nothing’s clicking, and you’re stuck staring at the screen, hoping the right thought will appear.
When that happens, I’ve learned that the best remedy is to get out and engage with life. Go to a coffee shop, visit a busy plaza, or take a seat at a bar. Just watch people, observe the world around you, and soak in the details. It’s incredible how much inspiration can come from simply watching life unfold—the way people interact, little quirks in their behavior, the stories that seem to write themselves before your eyes. Often, the simplest scenes and details spark the best ideas.
So, if you ever find yourself stuck creatively, remember that inspiration is everywhere; you just have to go out and invite it in. Creativity might be intangible, but in those quiet, observant moments, it often reveals itself in unexpected ways.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My creative journey is fueled by a passion for the process of creation itself. I thrive on the excitement of transforming an idea from nothing into something tangible—something that can be seen on TV, experienced in public spaces, or shared across social media. There’s a unique joy in building a concept from the ground up, watching it evolve, and ultimately seeing it resonate with an audience.
My mission goes beyond simply crafting visuals; I aim to come up with ideas that have the potential to change perceptions and evoke real emotions in people. Whether it’s sparking joy, inspiring action, or creating a moment of reflection, I want my work to make a meaningful impact on the world.
Winning awards is a fantastic acknowledgment of the hard work and creativity involved, so it’s definitely one of the goals, but also, it’s the ability to connect with others through powerful storytelling and beautiful ads. I believe that every piece of creative work has the potential to leave a mark, and I strive to ensure that my contributions foster a sense of connection and provoke thought, inviting people to see the world in new and engaging ways. Ultimately, I want to create work that not only stands out but also enriches the viewer’s experience and contributes positively to the conversations we have in society.
