We recently connected with Adriana Guerra and have shared our conversation below.
Adriana, appreciate you joining us today. Can you recount a time when the advice you provided to a client was really spot on? (Please note this response is for education/entertainment purposes only and shouldn’t be construed as advice for the reader)
The best advice I ever gave a client was this: “Stop fighting your body, and start listening to it.”
I was working with a woman in her 50s recovering from cosmetic surgery. She came to me for lymphatic drainage but was frustrated, anxious, and obsessed with “speeding up” her recovery. Every session, she’d ask, “How long until I’m back to normal?” She was doing everything “right” on paper—but emotionally, she was in resistance.
One day during her session, I gently told her, “Your body isn’t broken. It’s healing. And healing happens faster when we stop rushing it and start working with it.” That moment landed. She started to cry—not from pain, but because no one had ever told her that before. She was so used to pushing herself that she forgot how to be kind to her body.
After that, her energy shifted. She began showing up to sessions more relaxed, more open. Her swelling went down faster. Her sleep improved. She even told me her digestion and mood stabilized, something she hadn’t expected.
The truth is, the body isn’t a machine—it’s a living, feeling, brilliant system that responds to care, not control. Reminding her of that truth changed her recovery—and it changed the way I approach every client since.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hi, I’m Adry Guerra — a massage therapist, fitness coach, and guide in holistic and energetic healing. My path into this work began not in a classroom, but in my own pain. Years ago, I was navigating through physical discomfort, emotional exhaustion, and a body that felt like it was giving up on me. Traditional solutions gave me temporary relief, but something inside me kept whispering that healing needed to be deeper—more complete. That whisper became a calling.
I dove into the world of therapeutic massage, functional movement, energetic health, and later, radiesthesia. I didn’t just want to “fix” pain—I wanted to understand it, listen to it, and help others do the same. What I discovered was that true healing isn’t just about muscles or bones—it’s about energy, emotions, and learning to trust the body’s quiet wisdom.
Today, I help people who feel stuck in their pain—back pain, knee pain, sciatica, post-surgical swelling—people who’ve tried “everything” but still wake up hurting. Through massage therapy, lymphatic drainage, strength and mobility work, simple anti-inflammatory nutrition, and energetic alignment, I help them reclaim their bodies, their movement, and their peace.
What makes my work different is the way I see each person—as a whole, not just a problem to solve. I don’t rush. I don’t force. I listen—to your body, your energy, and the story your pain is trying to tell. And together, we begin the journey back to freedom.
I’m most proud of the quiet moments after a session when someone sits up, breathes deeply, and says, “I feel like myself again.” That’s what I live for. I want people to know that healing is not just possible—it’s your birthright. And no matter how long you’ve lived in discomfort, your body hasn’t given up on you. Neither will I.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Early in my career as a lymphatic drainage massage therapist, I had a client recovering from major surgery who arrived in pain, emotionally drained, and skeptical about whether massage could really help. Her progress was slow, and there were moments I questioned if I was making a difference. But I stayed consistent—adapting my techniques, studying more, and offering her both physical support and genuine encouragement. After several weeks, she hugged me in tears, saying she could finally sleep through the night without pain. That moment reminded me why I chose this path: resilience isn’t just pushing through challenges—it’s showing up, adapting, and believing in healing even when results take time.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson I had to unlearn was thinking that ‘if I worked harder, pushed deeper, I’d heal people faster.’ I carried that belief like a badge of honor—until I saw a client, post-surgery, flinch in pain under my touch. She trusted me, and I had unintentionally hurt her. I went home that day and cried—not because I made a mistake, but because I realized I was holding on to ego instead of empathy. That moment changed everything. I began to study the body’s gentle wisdom, how the lymphatic system thrives on softness and flow—not force. Now, every time I lay my hands on someone, I remember: healing isn’t about pressure—it’s about presence
