We recently connected with Adriana Flores and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Adriana thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution?
Creating BellasFloresStudio was the most challenging and rewarding thing I’ve ever done. As a first-generation entrepreneur, I knew I wanted to build something that would support both my family and myself. In mid October 2024, I reached a turning point, I was tired of doubting my future so I decided to invest all my savings into renting a suite and purchasing the necessary equipment. It wasn’t until January of this year that I began actively promoting and offering my services. Since then, my business has been thriving, and I feel confident in my future as a business owner.

Adriana , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I chose the esthetician industry when I made the decision at 17 that I didn’t want to go to a four-year college. I wanted to do something I was passionate about. Something that, in its own way, gave back to the community. I enrolled in school in the summer of 2023 and earned my license in early June 2024. I take pride not only in providing quality services but also in creating a safe and welcoming environment for my clients. Currently, I specialize in facials, waxing, and brows. In the future, I hope to become a medical aesthetician.
At BellasFloresStudio, I strive to be more than just your go-to esthetician, I want to be someone you can trust and feel comfortable with. I chose this path largely for the meaningful relationships that come with it, because without my clients, I wouldn’t be where I am today.

Do you have any stories of times when you almost missed payroll or any other near death experiences for your business?
When I started my business in October, I was in the midst of planning, investing, and preparing for my official launch. However, in early December, my grandfather passed away. I had originally planned to launch that same month but had to step back. I traveled to Mexico to say goodbye and be with my family during that difficult time. As heartbreaking as it was and still is, his passing became a source of motivation for me. He knew I was starting this business and had always been supportive and proud. In many ways, BellasFloresStudio is not just a reflection of my passion, but also a tribute to my loved ones who have supported me fiercely.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
As I mentioned before, I chose this industry because of the relationships I get to build throughout my career. That’s something I prioritize most with my clients—building genuine connections. When they come to me, I want them to see me as more than just a service provider. I want them to see me as someone they can trust and confide in. I pay close attention to the little things, and I can tell my clients truly appreciate that level of care.
