We were lucky to catch up with Adriana Banda recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Adriana , thanks for joining us today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
It all began when I was given the challenge to do something I had never done, which was balloon styling. I took the challenge and succeeded. I created balloon work that brought nothing but traffic my way of people wanting to have me do balloon work for them. I then thought to myself, was this something I could pursue and quit my part time job? Would this take off the way I want it to? I then decided, yes. Was it risky? Of course. However, that was a risk I was willing to take. I then began doing all of my own research, investing into balloon equipment, staying up all night learning balloon techniques, and soon putting a logo and a name together and that’s where it all started, the beauty of Balloon City Events. It has blossomed beautifully and I couldn’t be more grateful for the turn out it has had. A true dream come true.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Adriana, I’m 24 years I’m from a small town called Ennis. I’m full of creativity and confidence! Balloon City Events all began in 2021. I walked into this industry with a blindfold on. It’s been a journey since then. I’ve grown and learned so much, it’s been bittersweet! We strive to grow more and more everyday. We take care of clients IF/WHEN an issue occurs. We ALWAYS find a solution! Leaving our client fully satisfied! What sets me apart from others is my skills. I possess a sharp eye for detail, which I use to ensure my client’s event is magical and memorable! I work well under pressure and can produce high-quality work in short periods of time. I strive to bring the best and execute their vision to my fullest potential! I’m most proud of my dedication to Balloon City Events. I have a mission with every client, that is to ensure they have a stress free event from the start. All we want our clients to worry about is showing up and showing out their magical and memorable event! I’m always looking to learn more and I’m open to taking new challenges!
How did you build your audience on social media?
If we are telling the truth, Balloon City Events started because of one single post on Facebook! Yeah! Can you believe that? It’s all about putting yourself out there! Finding your target audience, coming up with fun, exciting content! Believe it or not, there’s people who enjoy watching a reel of you doing your job! Nothing is better than having people cheer you on as they watch, comment, and share your content! Definitely put yourself out there on all platforms if you’re able to keep up to par.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
I would say simply giving your client your all, from start to finish. Leaving not only them, but their guests completely wowed! I’ve had plenty of clients that came from another client. They’ve all mentioned to me that they were either recommended or they’ve seen my work live and in person and were in fact impressed with my work. Giving your all 100% and showcasing your work neatly, and executing their visions help and it shows.
