Alright, Adina thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about how you went about setting up your own practice and if you have any advice for professionals who might be considering starting their own?
I began this journey in February 2020 Prior to the Pandemic. I had been watching an instructor online and flew her out to train me 1 on 1 how to get my own business up and running. I started taking clients in my living room and I saw the potential of the business within 2 weeks. I was sure to circle back after the pandemic calmed down. By August 2020, I Was seeking out a commercial space because I no longer wanted clients coming to my home. I was Blessed to Find my 1st Store Front Commercial space in Pelham Village, NY. Clients have watched me on Social Media and have traveled from across the US to Come get services at Adina’s Beauty Bar. I Love this industry, I’m passionate about Customer Service and Achieving results with my clients.

Adina, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am Bronx, NY native who worked for NYC for 21 years in the criminal Justice field. I was always a serial entrepreneur at heart selling products and working in the network marketing industry. Watching an Instructor online piqued my interest in this field. I decided to fly them out and take a 1 on 1 training course. I structured my Business under a LLC. Got my first commercial property and got a real sense of what it was like running a business on your own. Everything starts and ends with you. I began offering numerous Body Contouring services that helped clients lose inches, and got their bodies shaped and toned. My goal was to show others that they had options if they weren’t satisfied with their body. I provide non invasive services that enhances or diminishes fat loss without the need for cosmetic surgery. I had the experience over 15 years ago going to Colombia and having a cosmetic procedure done and almost died on the table. I teach others that there are holistic ways to shape and contour the body without any downtime or use of surgery.. I love the fact that I can help achieve real time results. Clients believe in my ability to do so that they’re willing to get on a flight and travel to me in order to get these results. I am huge on customer service, I am to please and get my clients the best results. This year makes my 3rd year in the industry and I’m looking to expand my brand teaching others how they can start their own business and have it properly structured. I’m also exploring natural products for my clients to use in assistance with their results and maintenance.
In additional to my Spa, I own a Bling T-shirt business and a Beard Care Collection that I started for my son when he gets older.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
You are working for you. You have to put in the time and effort in order to achieve the results you’re looking for. Success doesn’t happen overnight, it a process. You’ll have days that you’re doing extremely well and some days where you won’t make any sales. You have to keep pushing your passion while achieving your purpose.
If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
If I can go back I would still choose this same industry. I would have done more research when getting a commercial space and leveraging business funding rather than out of my own pocket.
