We recently connected with Aden Little and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Aden, thanks for joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?

I like video games so I asked my dad to buy me a video game. He said sure but I’d have to earn it. So I told my mom and she suggested I come up with a business to make some money.

I thought about it all night and I figured I would sell Lemonade since I liked lemonade.
I was 6 when I sold my first lemonade, I’m now 11.

Aden, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I sold my first lemonade at six years old.

My mom helped me come up with my recipe and we had a taste test to make sure the lemonade was good. She also helped me decide what bottle I should put the juice in and my dad helped me with my logo and promotions.

I started an Instagram page and told people I was going to sell lemonade. I set up a table at my nana’s house and sold 100 jars that weekend.

I started selling cookies because I liked cookies. The recipe came from my dad and I fooling around in the kitchen. He was teaching me how to bake chocolate chip cookies from scratch and they were good. I knew I could sell those.

People started calling my mom asking for that lemonade. Then they called for cookies. So I figured I had some good stuff.

How did you build your audience on social media?

It’s crazy. I started my instagram page and I posted every day. My dad would take pictures of my stuff so I can post.

I would live broadcast my daily duties and a few people watched. Then I started posting my video games and I got more followers.

My advice is post post post!

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?

We get new customers from everywhere. I play sports so we sell at games, big events and stuff. I attend pop up shops to sell and people call my mom to make orders.
