Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Adam Giriunas. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Adam, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Looking back, do you think you started your business at the right time? Do you wish you had started sooner or later
When I was 18 and a senior in high school, I found myself at a crossroads with no clear vision of my future career path. Despite having hobbies such as producing music, playing sports, and collecting shoes, I struggled to see how these interests could translate into a stable profession. Graduating high school filled me with uncertainty about whether to head straight to college, take a gap year, or pursue an entirely different direction.
Ultimately, I chose a different path, one that led me to Las Vegas and the pursuit of entrepreneurship. Reflecting on it now, I’m not entirely sure why Las Vegas became the focal point of my journey, but it marked a significant turning point in my life.
Moving to a new city presented its own set of challenges, especially since I lacked essential life skills like budgeting for living expenses, managing bills, and even finding a place to live. The initial year was a tough learning curve, but it also brought tremendous personal growth. I delved into researching various career paths and the perks they offered. The idea of working remotely, particularly in fields like Social Media Marketing and Website Design, appealed to me due to their flexibility and scope for creativity.
My journey included both positive and negative experiences, particularly during internships. One internship provided an enriching environment where creativity flourished, despite the modest pay. Conversely, another internship introduced me to the harsh reality of a toxic work environment, characterized by micromanagement and verbal abuse. These contrasting experiences taught me valuable lessons in leadership and shaped my approach to business.
After facing the setback of being laid off due to company bankruptcy, I found myself in another unfulfilling job in Las Vegas. It was during this time that I had a realization—why not leverage my skills and offer my services directly to businesses? This epiphany led me to embark on the journey of creating my own digital marketing consultancy.
I vividly remember spending hours crafting the original Ace Consulting Digital Marketing website, fueled by determination and passion. The moment I hit publish, I felt a surge of excitement and anticipation for the future. It was a defining moment that marked the beginning of a journey filled with both challenges and triumphs.
Looking back, I sometimes wish I had started this journey sooner, but I recognize that timing plays a crucial role in shaping our experiences. Through dedication and persistence, I’ve come to understand that success will happen if you’re consistent and set goals. Every obstacle and setback has contributed to my growth and shaped the entrepreneur I am today.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I got into the world of digital marketing when I was 19 years old. I originally went into this career because I wanted to travel while still working, along with being able to use all of these creative ideas I had for my clients. When Ace Consulting Digital Marketing was created, our main service was creating websites for small businesses. Providing a website to a client isn’t just a way to get found online. We were able to show these small business owners that by having a website, you can tell your personal business story, engage with your target customer, and leave an everlasting impression. On top of all that, by doing this one simple thing for their business, we’re able to show actual growth. It’s a great feeling to believe in something and help others to grow.
As we continued getting clients and understanding their needs better, we started expanding our services. For example, the same people who we built a website for now need help with advertising it so they can continue to get new customers at a faster pace. Seeing this as a way for us to personally retain clients while also continuing to help them grow their business just made sense. We love a good win-win. So we continued working with these clients and bringing on new services to help them in any way possible. After all, without them, we wouldn’t be where we are today. Our clients mean the world to us, and we would do anything to see them grow.
After years of finding out what our clients need to grow their business and learning these skills/hiring experts, we were able to create the three main pillars. #1 is Website Design. In these digital times, you need to have an online presence to showcase. Think of it as a digital HQ. This is something that people will see before ever interacting with your business. If it doesn’t look good and provide value, you can bet that potential customers will go elsewhere. #2 is Search Engine Optimization. Alright, so you have a website, now what? Well, if you don’t put reasonable efforts into SEO, no one will ever see it, especially your target audience. By doing SEO on your website, you can allow your website to populate for keywords that your target customer is searching for. For example, if you own a bagel shop in Tulsa, most likely you will want people to see your website on the first page of Google when searching “Bagel Shop Near Me” and they live in Tulsa. It just makes sense. #3 is Digital Ads. Digital Ads such as Google Ads allow you to rank a lot faster than SEO for the keywords your target audience is searching in real-time. By using digital ads and SEO in conjunction, you can maximize your ranking efforts.
These main three pillars all work hand in hand. By utilizing all of them, you will have a much easier time getting people to your amazing new site and driving conversions to help your business grow to its full potential. At Ace Consulting, we don’t stop there though. As we’ve grown, so have our clients, meaning they need more advanced marketing strategies and creative alternatives in some cases. So we began learning new creative methods and bringing on some of the best marketing experts we could find. Now we are happy to offer our clients full marketing teams, branding strategies, animation, and so much more.
The biggest perk that we offer our clients is simple: 24/7 assistance. I can’t tell you how many clients I’ve spoken with who’ve been scammed, lied to, and more by marketing agencies. Hearing this made us want to provide the best care possible for our clients, so now if something happens, you can give us a call, text, or email, and we’ll get working on it 24/7. Have a question right now about marketing? Give us a call at (702) 600-8003 and test it out.
Here’s a review from one of our clients: “Adam and his team are ABSOLUTELY phenomenal! Their ability to listen to the needs and goals of growth for your company is incredible and come up with an innovative result-producing game plan is incredible. I loved how effective they were. We got results within one week. Adam really goes above and beyond for his clients and is more than accommodating with the unforgiving schedules of business owners. I have used ACE for the last several years and will continue to do so. They’re such a great asset to my business!
If you have multiple revenue streams in your business, would you mind opening up about what those streams are and how they fit together?
So Ace Consulting Digital marketing is our main business. However, about two years ago I decided to start another passion project. The Aqua Project. This other company is e-commerced based and built around Saving The Sea Turtles and all marine life threatened by microplastics and overfishing. I’ve always had a fascination with sea turtles since I was a kid. So to me, it made sense to start a company based around trying to help them. Building a strong partnership was also a big deal for us. After getting turned down by multiple sea turtle rehab centers due to being a start-up we found the perfect match. Gumbo Limbo Sea Turtle Rehab Center located in Boca Raton Florida. It’s been amazing working with them and we’re excited about what the future holds.
When I first started I wanted to create a reusable water bottle that not only looked good but served a deeper purpose. After spending more time than expected getting samples and changing the design I ended up with a real bamboo shell and thick food-grade glass. It looked great! I was proud of it. After a few alterations, I ended up moving from glass to stainless steel to make it more durable and keep drinks hot and cold. Currently, we’re dabbling with some very high-tech designs that we believe will lengthen the lifespan of the bottle and provide cleaner drinking water. Stay tuned.
From a business perspective having multiple streams of income is critical. You never want to have all your eggs in one basket as I’m sure you’ve heard. No matter what industry you’re in this will still be important. The Aqua Project is one of our additional streams of income along with others. Some things to consider when looking for additional streams of income include doing competitor research, looking at the market, knowing your skill set, considering trends, and not being afraid to take a risk! Just make sure to prove the concept and remain consistent.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Of course, even though these are tough stories looking back on them they made me the person and business owner I am today.
When I started Ace Consulting Digital Marketing it was a rocky start. I’m talking about multiple beginning years of a rocky start. What I mean by this is when I started this company I didn’t have a lot of clients or a team like we do now. When I decided to start this path of working for myself there was no plan B. This was it, either I succeeded or I was going to be in trouble. See I quit my other jobs and did this full-time. Reaching out to potential clients, getting rejected 99% of the time, and trying to pay my bills and just survive. Needless to say, my budget for living expenses was minimal.
The hardest thing during this initial stretch was believing in myself and my capabilities. Not to mention I had serious imposter syndrome and always thought I wasn’t good enough to do something like this. It was tough. Getting constantly shut down by prospective clients and struggling to pay basic bills over a long period wears you down mentally and physically. Thankfully I was able to smile through the pain and remained consistent. Every single day I would be working, trying to find new clients, or perfecting my skills. Eventually, this paid off. About 2-3 years later.
Looking back on it now I can’t imagine what it would have been like if I had given up. At some point in your journey, you’ll conclude that you’re already so far and it would be more difficult to turn around and go back. Something that helped me to continue in my hardest times was thinking If I dedicate my life to achieving something statistically you’re more likely to achieve this goal than not. I don’t know if this is true or not but man did it help me.
Something I will say to anyone reading this is seriously give it your all. This doesn’t mean that a single idea will be successful, However, it will allow you to learn and take that experience with you in your journey. Just remain consistent and keep pushing, eventually, something will work out and change your life forever.
