Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Adam Fehrenbacher. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Adam, thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Generally, the overall mission is to provide the community with the option of a local business that produces fresh meats. And to this day, that mission still rings true. This mission is meaningful to me because over the years, I have traveled and had various freshly made products in many different countries. And from those travels, they inspired me to incorporate what I experienced into my own business. Customers deserve fresh products, and I am devoted to making that happen.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I started as a small booth selling sausage at the Haile Farmer’s Market in 2016. After about a year, I decided to open up a brick-and-mortar location here in the 4th Avenue Food Park. At first, we only offered very few sausage options. But as time went on, I developed new recipes as the years went by. To this day, my recipe book has roughly 80 different flavors. And with every new week, there is a new lineup of flavors for customers to choose from. As some years passed by, we began incorporating a lunch menu so that if people wanted to try what we make here, then they are more than welcome to enjoy lunch with us.
The business today is thriving. New faces, new strategies, and new horizons. It still surprises me to this day that people come from towns hours away to get our products, even as far as New York! I really am proud of what I have built.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Social media management was daunting at first. Building my business on both Instagram & Facebook had some challenges. But with time, the number of people engaging with us continued to rise. Today though, I leave that side of the business to Sam Davis. So I will leave this question to him:
“When I adopted the role of social media manager, I knew that I was inheriting a large audience. One of the biggest pieces of advice I can give is to observe what people are enjoying and gauge what increases your engagement. As Adam mentioned, it can be a daunting task. But with enough perseverance and creativity, managing social media for a business can be fun!”
Any advice for managing a team?
One of the biggest pieces of advice I can offer is to be personable and approachable. Sure, you might be the boss of the team. But, you also must be understanding when some complications arise. The team I have right now is absolutely crushing it and I could not be happier with the crew.
