Adalberto , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?

My artistic journey traces back to childhood, where I was the perpetual class clown. Despite this early inclination, sports took precedence until post-college, when the 2008 economic crisis disrupted conventional career paths. Job market challenges propelled me to revisit the idea that lingered in my head as a kid – pursuing a creative path. With a leap of faith, I embraced acting and filmmaking, discovering a profound sense of purpose and creative fulfillment. This unexpected turn in my career not only defines my artistic identity but also reinforces the belief that our childhood dreams often guide us to our most authentic selves.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I’m a storyteller who stumbled into the world of acting and filmmaking when a friend sparked the idea for a project. Struggling post-college in Portland, Oregon, jobless and restless, I realized it was time to embark on this artistic journey. What sets me apart? I humbly cherish crafting beautiful, albeit challenging, narratives. What makes me most proud is persisting through doubts, proving to myself that passion fuels resilience. My work reflects an unwavering work ethic; I thrive on challenges, turning “no” into an opportunity. I want my people to see the dedication and determination that go into each project, knowing that behind the scenes, I’m relentlessly committed to making my artistic visions a reality.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is the profound exploration of both myself and humanity. Engaging in storytelling allows me to delve into the depths of the human experience, unraveling intricate layers of emotions and connections. Beyond the joy of doing what I love, my artistic journey has been a transformative process. It’s a cathartic voyage where I’ve encountered healing, confronting aspects of myself that might have remained unexplored without the medium of art. Through each project, I’ve not only crafted narratives but also mended parts of my own story, finding solace and understanding in the intricate tapestry of life as an artist.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

Absolutely, my creative journey is driven by a mission to collaborate with friends and bring to life stories that are both meaningful and beautiful. Crafting films is not just about entertainment for me; it’s a vehicle to inspire others to create, to evoke a sense of beauty, and to contribute something positive to humanity. I believe in the transformative power of storytelling, and my goal is to create narratives that resonate deeply, sparking creativity and a desire to contribute to the collective creation of beautiful things in the world. Through this mission, I hope to foster a community of artists who share a passion for creating impactful, inspiring, and meaningful work.
