We were lucky to catch up with Acting United Inc recently and have shared our conversation below.
Acting, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s start with the decision of whether to donate a percentage of sales to an organization or cause – we’d love to hear the backstory of how you thought through this.
I’m 2021 we created our nonprofit to aid artists to create art and tell stories that help the world! We shot a film in March 2022 about human trafficking awareness and hope to have it premiering by 2023. We will be giving portions of the profits to organizations that help free individuals from human trafficking! More projects are coming and we look forward to helping artists produce their projects in the future!
Acting, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
We hope to become the leading advocates for social change through art by giving grants to artists who crate for a change! We are limited only by the amount of people who know about us. The more people who know, the more tools we can provide our actors, producers, and writing community!
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Our first company film needed a budget of 10k. After a few months of campaigning we were down to the wire to get funding. Our crew kept their heads and we were fully funded by the last week before production! Again, the more people who know about our heart for the arts and donate, the more we can create and make a difference!
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
We want to aid artists! We want to give grants to artists dedicated to their crafts and who are advocating for social justice. We want to change the world for the better through art!
