Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ace the Rapper. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Ace the Rapper, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Has your work ever been misunderstood or mischaracterized?
Growing up, I struggled with opening up to other people, so I internalized everything I was going through. Music gave me a sense of peace and allowed me to filter through the emotions I held in throughout my life. No, my music has never been mischaracterized or misunderstood, but my journey has. Everyone doesn’t always see or believe in the vision. That’s what you use as motivation.

Ace the Rapper, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a Music Artist that that focuses on creating within the Hip Hop genre. I use my everyday lifestyle and personal experiences as a guide to make the listener feel as I do/did in that moment. Since a young age, music played a significant role in my life and I leaned on it to cope with the things I was going through. Initially, I wrote music as a form of self therapy, until one of my closest friends convinced me to start recording. I then realized how my music could impact others and that pushed me to continue to create music for those who experienced similar things. To let people know that they aren’t alone and give them a voice through my art, like music did for me.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist has to be my impact. I genuinely love music and creating, so my focus has never been on being seen. I love when someone can relate to or find comfort in my music. The journey has also been rewarding. I’ve learned a lot about myself and grew in numerous aspects. No, it ain’t always been pretty, but sometimes an L is the best lesson.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My main goal is to take care of those who took care of me. I’ve been through a lot, but I always knew it could have been worse. I wouldn’t be here at all without my support system; they always kept me going. Besides that, I just want to motivate and inspire people. When you listen to my music, I want you to feel heard and understood. I want to let you know you’re not alone in whatever you’re going through. Just see it through.
