We recently connected with Ace Dizzy Flow and have shared our conversation below.
Ace, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Are you happy as a creative professional? Do you sometimes wonder what it would be like to work for someone else?
Currently I’m happy as a creative because I get to do the things I want with the freedom I choose. Creating something from scratch whenever mood I’m in, I channel that into the beats I create.
I currently have a regular job but what I would love more than anything is to do this full-time. They’re sacrifices I need to make but the thought concerns me is failure. I’m dealing with a balance with both which is challenging most of the time but creatives will always find time to create.
Ace, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
One of the ways I got started into making music was wanting to learn how music was created. Started learning what different sounds/samples, notes, and chords were. Studied and started creating on my own. High school is where the creativeness picked up and more people started to notice Growing within the evolve process of creating music has always been a motivator.. One of things that I’m most proud of is being able to showcase my talent live, support the artists, producers and experience that with them.
Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Earlier in my creative journey I didn’t under the business side of music. Knowing your worth, and protect it. Alot of the times where I confused with this as a hobby instead of a business. I just wanted people to listen to my music, rap/sing, just to get that sound out there. With what I’ve been through in the past has also shaped me into understanding my purpose and worth to create.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is the support from previous artists wanting to work more. Building relationships with artists, displaying my music along with The Genius Party.
