We recently connected with Abraham Taliaferro and have shared our conversation below.
Abraham, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you get your first job in the field that you practice in today?
At first it was hard to choose a topic for a panel discussion, but this seems to be the most unique. I am the youngest of 8 children from my mother Dr. Judith Kravitz, who is the developer, creator, and founder of Transformational Breath®. Breathwork was instilled in my life as long as I can remember and has supported me tremendously throughout my entire life. It has supported me physically be having a conscious relationship with my breath and giving me physical advantage with sports and endurance because of this continuous work. It has supported me emotionally by allowing me to integrate trauma in the present moment instead of holding onto things longer than they should be. Most people are not familiar with this tool that allows us to access the subconscious and integrate emotional patterns. These emotional patterns from our past hold a vibrational frequency that is transmuted into a higher frequency and in turn ending the cycle of these traumas we sometimes hold onto. It also supports me spiritually by allowing me to have a deep connection with my higher self. I have been so supported in my own journey, have witnessed thousands of people have deep support from this work, and now following my mother’s footsteps in teaching others to share this work with the world. I feel very fortunate with my upbringing and the opportunity that I have each day to share this light.

Abraham, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am just a vessel who shares information and experiences of this profound work. Transformational Breath® is a breathwork modality that has been around for around 50 years. The founder Dr. Judith Kravitz is the founder and my mother. She had a cancerous tumor that led her to explore alternative modalities for healing. After discovering and continuing a breathwork practice she received insight on what elements and procedures to add to create a more powerful healing experience. The breathwork community that she was a part of did not want to change any principles to their modality, so she branched off and created her own. By continuing to do breathwork each day she was able to cure herself from her disease. Since then, she has devoted her life to share this work with others. At the moment there are practitioners in 54 different countries around the world. I am grateful to be a part of the foundation, to work with her, and to follow her mission with sharing this work with the world.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
The work is so powerful, effective, and consistent that word of mouth has been the biggest build for our reputation. Also, the breathwork training course is one of the most indepth breathwork training courses out there, so our facilitators are very well trained. Currently the foundation is exploring more and effective business practices to expand the outreach.
Do you think you’d choose a different profession or specialty if you were starting now?
I would not choose any other profession to work in. If someone offered me 10 million dollars today to stop working, I would decline the offer. I get so much fufillment from sharing this work that money has very little to do with why I do the work that I do. But i do need to pay the bills :)
