We recently connected with Abraham Lopez and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Abraham, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I first noticed that I wanted to peruse a career in the entertainment industry when I was in high school. I remember when my godmother would come visit me and my family during the summers and I would go with her to production meetings and on set. I really fell in love with the industry and how a team of people come together to create a story visually and share it with audiences. I wanted to pursue a career doing that and make it my job.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
A little bit about myself, first and foremost I am a director, writer, and producer in the entertainment industry with over 13 years of production experience in multiple departments within the industry. I own a motion picture production company called A Greek God Entertainment LLC. We have produced multiple short films / proof of concepts which have accumulated 500+ awards in highly acclaimed film festivals. We are currently in the works of developing our proof of concepts into feature films for theatrical releases or to put on streaming platforms. What really sets me and my company apart from others is that we are very determined to tell an innovating and captivating story to our audiences quickly and proficiently. I am most looking forward to what the future holds for my company and the many successes we will achieve.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me the most rewarding aspect of being a creative is that you have the freedom to express yourself for a living. You have a platform to tell about experiences people may have gone through or stories that you may have heard in order to either entertain the audience or to educate them.

Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?
I believe a lot of non-creatives struggle to understand that having a career in the creative industry is a process. It takes a lot of blood, sweat, and tears you could say. It takes a lot of determination, persistence, and patience to achieve goals within the industry and I believe a lot of non-creatives don’t understand that things don’t work like 9-5 jobs where you get your bi-weekly paychecks and your consistent workflows easily.
