We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Abigail Wall. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Abigail below.
Alright, Abigail thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard.
In the fiercely competitive lash industry, my ability to foster deep connections with my clients sets me apart as a true luminary. Beyond simply enhancing their lashes, I prioritize building lasting relationships based on trust and personalized care. Through attentive listening and genuine empathy, I create an environment where clients feel valued and understood. My dedication to maintaining open lines of communication ensures that each visit isn’t just a transaction, but a meaningful exchange where clients feel heard and appreciated. By tailoring my services to their individual needs and preferences, I empower them to truly sparkle, both inside and out. With my unwavering commitment to client satisfaction and genuine connection, I’ve not only elevated the lash experience but also forged a loyal following that extends far beyond the salon doors. I have maintained most of my clients throughout the years. In fact, I still have my first client ever. She has seen me grow with my business and as a Lash Artist. Most of my clients have been coming to me well over 5 years, which is a testament to me setting a valuable environment that’s not just transactional.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’ve been in the Beauty Industry for almost 10 years now. I first started off as an Esthetician and became a waxer. I of course wanted a more glamorous career so I took a leap of faith and took a pay cut to learn how to do lash extensions. It was a scary transition, but overall it paid off in the end. I was only 20 years old when I decided to create my own business and solely relied on my business for income. There was a ton of challenges starting a business so young and ton of learning curves, but I’m a very disciplined person and love to learn.
The lash industry since 2017 has grown immensely and I pride myself in learning and evolving with not only industry standards, but surpassing it and trying to get ahead. When I mentor young lash artists I tell them to practice, look up standards in trends and think of ways to set you apart. I’ve created a brand identity that allows my business to stand apart from other businesses. I also pride myself in giving my clients a luxurious experience. I want my clients to Sparkle inside and out.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Back in 2020 during the pandemic I had to start all over. Many of my clients moved out of California, I became a mom and my business was shut down for the majority of the year. I was able to start back up as a new mom and create an even bigger business. There were so many challenges, but my clients that stayed believed I could do it and have it all. I am now a soon to be mother of 3 have a successful marriage and an LLC. You truly can do it all even with the biggest set backs.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
My most effective strategy for growing clientele is purely personality. I believe people will invest in you if they truly feel a connection. If there is no connection a client won’t feel obligated to stay loyal. I give each client the space to feel safe and heard. I am with my clients sometimes for 1-3 hours every 2-4 weeks so it’s very important that when they first meet me they feel a sense of calmness.
