We were lucky to catch up with Abigail Didier recently and have shared our conversation below.
Abigail, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
Solibeech started with a very simple frustration: despite owning a drawer full of pajamas, I didn’t have a single pair that hit all the boxes I cared about – buttery-soft, temperature-regulating, made from more sustainable fibers, and at a price point that felt accessible. Being a lifelong pajama snob, I knew exactly what I wanted the product to feel like – the fabric blend, the silhouettes, the fit – but the challenge was building the brand around it.
What’s interesting is that every job I’d had up to that point ended up preparing me to do this perfectly. I’d worked in sales, directed events and photoshoots, built influencer and affiliate programs, social media, taught myself to code, managed UX research and product testing for retail brands – all of it gave me a toolkit that made it possible to take on a brand from the ground up on my own.
From the moment I had the idea to launch, it took about a year and a half. The early months were spent researching fabric suppliers, testing dozens of swatches, and learning what it would take to produce the exact materials I envisioned. At the same time, I had to re-teach myself everything about e-commerce, retail operations, packaging, and brand building. Every piece of Solibeech – from the product and packaging to the website and brand story – was built with intention and a lot of late nights.
I refined the designs constantly, wearing samples myself to make sure they performed the way I wanted, adjusting every detail from stitching to drape to waistband softness. Parallel to product development, I focused on the brand: defining the story, creating the visual identity, and thinking about the customer experience from unboxing to bedtime.
When the first final sample arrived, it made all the late nights building Solibeech on top of a full-time job feel completely worth it. It was the moment I saw that persistent work, research, and hands-on effort could turn a clear vision into a tangible product. Solibeech exists because I knew exactly what I wanted to create and committed to making it happen, step by step, with no shortcuts.

Abigail, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Abigail Didier, founder of Solibeech.
Solibeech is the sleepwear I couldn’t find on the market. I started it out of a personal desire for pajamas that felt as beautiful as they looked – pieces that carried the same ease and refinement I value in every part of my life. As a woman with PCOS and endometriosis, I know firsthand how important temperature-regulating sleepwear is – night sweats and overheating can make restful sleep difficult. I also wanted sleepwear that felt luxurious but was accessible, especially for young women. When I couldn’t find an option that checked all the boxes, I decided to build it myself. Having been a lifelong pajama snob, I knew exactly what I wanted the fabric, fit, and feel to be.
I built Solibeech from the ground up on my own, all while working full-time at the largest influencer marketing agency in the world. My experience in sales, events, photoshoots, influencer and affiliate programs, coding, UX research, and product testing gave me the skills to handle every part of the business – from product development and manufacturing to branding, website design, and marketing. Working at the agency also gave me hands-on social media experience and PR connections that have been invaluable in growing the brand.
Solibeech creates high-quality, luxury-feel pajamas designed for comfort and performance, made with fabrics that are more sustainable than typical options. Every pair is rigorously tested for softness, breathability, and cooling – in a focus group of over 30 women, every single participant reported 100% satisfaction. As a pajama-picky snob, I knew I was on the right track when I loved them too.
Every detail of Solibeech reflects intentionality: timeless silhouettes, elevated yet effortless fit, and prints that feel like wearable art. Our signature hand-painted watercolor designs are expressive, original, and quietly luxurious. Solibeech is more than pajamas – it’s about better sleep, thoughtful design, and feeling beautiful in the simplest moments, all without the luxury price tag.

Any advice for managing a team?
While I don’t have a traditional team at Solibeech, I’m fortunate to have a group of incredible women supporting the brand on the side because they believe in it as much as I do. My past experiences working in startups and with other leaders made it clear to me what works – and what doesn’t – when managing and collaborating with highly intelligent, ambitious women. I knew that the key was making sure everyone felt valued, appreciated, and part of something meaningful.
Running Solibeech is my biggest joy in life right now. I get to create pajamas for women, work with women, meet women, and support women. The group helping me does so in their free time, often unpaid (though they do get pajamas!), and because they genuinely care about the brand. I make it a priority to show appreciation, respect their personal time, and keep after-hours work minimal. Solibeech isn’t saving the world, so there’s no reason to treat it as all-consuming.
I also keep them engaged and excited by sharing previews of upcoming collections, collaborations, events, and updates – giving them visibility into the journey and making them feel part of it. Even in a small, unconventional setup, morale thrives when people feel valued, included, and genuinely excited to contribute.

Any fun sales or marketing stories?
One of my favorite marketing stories is the launch of the Abby Baffoe Collection. From the very beginning of Solibeech, I knew I wanted our first collaboration to be with someone I genuinely admired – someone whose values aligned with mine and the brand: a love of pajamas, luxury, self-care, supporting women, and enjoying cozy nights at home. Abby Baffoe was the perfect fit.
This was a real risk. Solibeech was less than six months old, and there wasn’t enough money in the business account to fund the collection. I ended up using my own personal money because my gut told me this was something I had to do. I flew to New York to pitch the idea in person, unsure if she would say yes or if her audience would even connect with the PJs.
Seeing her say yes and watching the collection come to life was exhilarating. Every detail – from Lady, to NYC life, to her iconic sleep mask and a touch of lipstick – was designed to reflect her life and personality. It wasn’t about putting a name on a collection; it was about capturing the moments and details we love about her. That experience reminded me that most of the time, taking bold, thoughtful risks is how the most meaningful marketing moments happen.
