We were lucky to catch up with Abigael Williamceau recently and have shared our conversation below.
Abigael, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
I feel like I’m here to make a difference so I hope I inspired others to be open, to extend love to others, to be their authentic self, and most importantly, to trust in themselves by sharing my testimony naturally with no shame. I hope I motivated others to believe in their dreams and to go after each and every one of them. I hope I influenced everyone to realize luxury is their birth right and that they’re the creator of their own destiny by the choices they make in life. I want my legacy to be every life I touched in this realm through experiencing my energy and my love. I hope to make a mark on the world that can’t be forgotten because it made such a positive impact in all aspects. I want to lead everyone back to passion, love, community, and light. I want to plant seeds in a garden that will continue to bloom after I transition. I want to leave something in people that they can leave with others. I hope my legacy will be to understand one another. I hope my legacy will be to accept one another. I hope my legacy will be to support one another. I hope my legacy will be to fight for one another. I hope my legacy will be to forgive one another. I hope my legacy will bring diverse individuals together that will encourage and uplift one another. I feel like I’m writing my legacy every day as I navigate through my journey through each person I connect with.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
My name is Abigael Williamceau, I AM a Creative Entrepreneur and a Freelance Photographer figuring it all out as I go while stepping into my 20 somethings. November 2019, I pushed myself to start my clothing brand with an idea and a vision. 19 year old me, the biggest introvert, stepping out of my comfort zone to launch a business clueless about where to start and what steps to take. It’s not easy running a business and I didn’t expect the journey to be. I was faced by a lot my first and second year but it all taught me a deeper lesson that molded me into the business owner I AM today stepping into YEAR 3. I say all this to say, just do it. Just start. Just introduce your ideas and passions to the world and bet on yourself time and time again. Show yourself GRACE as you learn. Be gentle with yourself when you make “mistakes”, no matter what obstacles try to “stop” you, keep pursuing your dreams. No matter what others may say to doubt you, Keep going. No matter how long it takes you to step back into it, DON’T give up on it. Kizzy is a place of self-expression through clothing. I want anyone and everyone to feel confident when they are wearing Kizzy. I want everyone to feel comfortable in my clothing and comfortable in their own skin as they are wearing it. No matter who you are, come as you are. You are accepted and welcomed with love. This is where different doesn’t mean wrong, its deeper than designer. I feel like the way I’m so open about my story sets me apart from others. This is my third year in the clothing business and my second year experimenting with photography. I plan on experimenting with videography more this year. My photography business is called Captured With Luv, with this being my second year diving into this passion of mine, I’m learning and growing as I go. I’m in my trial and error phase and I love every part of it. My goal is to offer a safe environment to help any and everyone of all ages, shapes, colors, and sizes embrace their own body positivity and step into their confidence in their features during a shoot with me. A comfortable and radiant environment that runs strictly on being your authentic self and having fun while you do. I want to help my clients see what they have yet to unleash and keep buried within. Behind the camera I offer sensitivity and support. I’m most proud of my effort to explore myself creatively with grace and gentleness. Stepping out of my comfort zone could be a challenge for me most of the time but I’m learning to be more open to new connections and opportunities that present themselves to me. Moving to a new city (Fort Myers) has pushed me into a space where I have to put myself out there no matter how bad my nerves are. I introduce myself and pass out my business flyers everywhere I go and that grows my audience a lot. I recently discovered a creative space out here called “Indapendant Studios” and it’s so inspiring to be in a building full of multi-talented creatives chasing their dreams. It’s so refreshing to find a space so welcoming, supportive, and loving. I want to connect with a lot of people this year and pour more time into things that bring me joy, I’m on the road to self-employment and claiming that 7-figure business owner title this year. I’m super excited to see how this year unfolds for me as an individual and as a Creative Entrepreneur.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
The goal driving my creative journey is to be self-employed, to establish and introduce “The playground, for the kids.” , and to give back to my community. The goal is to build a community of people who can come as they are without the fear of being judged because this is where different doesn’t mean wrong, The goal is to show everyone that with my clothing brand its deeper than designer. The goal is being more open with my supporters, staying consistent and becoming a 7 figure clothing brand owner. This year I plan on getting closer to these goals. I recently relaunched my clothing brand December 16, 2022 after over a year away. I released a Royal blue “The playground” sweatsuit as my first two products, they are sold separately but can be worn together. I plan on releasing more this year. I’m currently doing a 60% off sale to make room for what’s next, get into some black-owned designer when you’re able and help spread the word to others!
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
I put together the initial capital to start my business with the support and opportunities from God, my family, my friends, and my supporters. None of this would have been possible without divine guidance and timing. My family always gave me the space to explore my creativity in the beginning of my business which helped me out a lot financially, till this day. I worked at McDonald’s at the time and released my first product on my 20th birthday. I received 34 orders that month and that was BIG to me. The fact that 34 people supported my business financially meant a lot and helped with my next product from there. I ran Pre-Orders for quite a while and after a year I started releasing on hand products. I invested in my brand trusting in the process and it invested back into me.
