We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Abdulrahman Hamdi. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Abdulrahman below.
Hi Abdulrahman, thanks for joining us today. Do you wish you had waited to pursue your creative career or do you wish you had started sooner?
Absolutely, I do find myself reflecting on the idea of starting my creative journey sooner. The yearning to express myself as an artist and a painter has been a constant part of my identity, and looking back, I can’t help but wonder how much earlier I could have immersed myself in the world of art. However, I also recognize that every step in life contributes to our growth and perspective. The experiences and learnings gained along the way have undoubtedly shaped my artistic voice, adding depth and richness to my creative expression. While I may have wished for an earlier start, I believe that the timing has played a crucial role in molding me into the artist I am today. The journey is as much about the process of discovery as it is about the destination, and I am grateful for the evolution and self-discovery that each moment has brought to my artistic path.

Abdulrahman, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Certainly! I am a multifaceted individual who wears two distinctive hats – that of an artist and a lawyer. My journey into the realm of art began as an intrinsic part of my identity. From an early age, I felt a profound connection to the world of colors and forms, and this passion eventually led me to pursue a career as an artist. I immersed myself in the study of various artistic techniques and styles, seeking to create works that resonate with emotion, depth, and individuality.
In tandem with my artistic pursuits, I also ventured into the field of law, driven by a commitment to justice and advocacy. As an attorney, I specialize in entertainment law – technology and business , providing legal services that aim to navigate complexities and find effective solutions for my clients. My legal background has not only enriched my professional skill set but also influenced the thematic elements within my artwork, reflecting a nuanced understanding of the intersection between law and art.
As an artist, I offer a range of creative works, including expressionist abstract . Each piece is a testament to my journey, exploring the intricacies of life, identity, and the interplay between emotions and experiences. Through my legal practice, I am dedicated to providing comprehensive and client-focused services, addressing the unique needs of those seeking legal guidance and representation.
What sets me apart is the harmonious blend of my artistic and legal expertise. This dual perspective allows me to approach challenges with a unique and holistic mindset, whether I am crafting a visual narrative on canvas or navigating the intricacies of legal matters. I pride myself on my ability to bring creativity and analytical thinking together, providing innovative solutions both in the courtroom and on the canvas.
I am most proud of new show coming up in my home country , which have allowed me to make meaningful contributions to both the art and legal communities. What I want potential clients, followers, and fans to know is that I am not just an artist or a lawyer—I am a storyteller, using both my legal and artistic skills to weave narratives that resonate with authenticity and purpose. Whether through my brushstrokes or legal advocacy, I am dedicated to making a positive impact and leaving a lasting impression on those who engage with my work.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Absolutely, my creative journey is driven by a profound goal and mission. I am passionate about delving into the complex tapestry of human experiences, particularly those related to trauma and PTSD. Through my art, I aim to shed light on the often silent struggles individuals face and create a platform for dialogue and understanding.
My overarching mission is rooted in education—specifically, using art as a powerful tool to raise awareness about PTSD and trauma. I believe that art has the transformative ability to serve as a cathartic outlet, providing a means for individuals to express and process their emotions. By delving into the depths of human experiences through my artwork, I aspire to initiate conversations around mental health, foster empathy, and ultimately contribute to destigmatizing conditions like PTSD.
Art, in its various forms, has a unique capacity to communicate emotions and narratives that may be challenging to express verbally. I see my creative journey as a means to provide a voice for those who may feel silenced by their experiences. It’s about using the canvas as a medium for healing, self-discovery, and societal awareness.
In essence, my goal is to highlight the therapeutic potential of art and its role in the journey of overcoming trauma. I want to inspire individuals to explore their own creativity as a form of self-expression and healing. Through exhibitions, collaborations, and community engagement, I hope to bridge the gap between art and mental health, fostering a greater understanding of the human experience and, in turn, contributing to a more compassionate and informed society.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist is the profound connection I establish with others through the expression of creativity. Art has a unique ability to transcend boundaries, fostering a deep and often unspoken connection between the artist and the audience. When individuals resonate with my work, share their interpretations, or find solace and inspiration in my creations, it creates a meaningful and rewarding dialogue.
The act of creating art is, in itself, a deeply fulfilling and cathartic process. It allows me to explore the depths of my own emotions, thoughts, and experiences, offering a form of self-discovery and personal expression. The joy that comes from seeing an idea come to life on the canvas or witnessing the evolution of my artistic voice over time is immensely gratifying.
Moreover, the impact art can have on people’s lives is truly rewarding. If my work can evoke emotions, provoke thought, or serve as a source of comfort, inspiration, or healing for someone, then I feel that I’ve achieved a profound connection and made a positive contribution to the world. This connection, both personal and shared, is what makes the creative journey so enriching and ultimately reinforces the power of art to bring people together on a deeper, more meaningful level.
