We were lucky to catch up with Abby Alnatsheh recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Abby thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
My mission is to educate every woman on how important self care is. I take the time educate then about their skin and how to be beautiful with spending minimum. Everyone Deserves Beautiful Skin!
Abby, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’ve always knew how strong my passion for beauty, skincare, selfcare, health, etc.. I’ve started my journey when I was fourteen mixing different ingredients from my moms kitchen to make it into a face mask. I’ve decided to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management but I’ve always knew beauty is where I want to be. Fast forward, after have my first babygirl and while being pregnant with my second I’ve decided to become and esthetician. Starting from scratch, doing lots of research, staying up long night to read and research on how can I become a successful esthetician. After graduation I’ve rented a small suite at a spa doing basic facials as low as $35 but I’ve learned how to work with all Fitzpatricks and skin types. For the minimum I was making I kept reinvesting back into the business or take an advanced class to become certified in many different treatments. Four years later I’ve opened my first store front and expanded to more services which includes facials, medical grade treatments, waxing, massage, lashes, body contouring & semipermanent makeup.
Yes there was many nights I wanted to give up because being a solo esthetician takes lots ambition, and learn how not to give up to build a solid clientele based..
The one thing about me is I love to see all women happy and feel good about themselves! Since I started my business I’ve always offered fifteen minutes complimentary skincare consultation just to teach them how to care for themselves and yes it’s very possible to look and feel beautiful at a minimum price.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Social media was my top my priority! 80% of my clients were from social media, it may sounds easy and very cheap since marketing can cause a fortune. It didn’t matter the setting I’ve always managed to post constantly whether was a video doing a facial or apply a serum or tell the followers about a certain treatment. I personally used my face as a marketing tool.
Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
Be patient and be a leader and most importantly be an educater!
