We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Aayush Yadav a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Aayush , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. I’m sure there have been days where the challenges of being an artist or creative force you to think about what it would be like to just have a regular job. When’s the last time you felt that way? Did you have any insights from the experience?
I am very happy as am doing what I love and always wanted to do, it is tough but what I have learned is that you have to trust the process and believe in yourself. I have had a regular 9 to 5 job back in India where I was working for a media & entertainment company but I didn’t enjoy it, that’s just me, I can’t do the same thing every day. It was a good workspace, my colleagues were super chill and fun but still, it felt like I was missing out on life. Having a regular well well-paying job is for sure good, you feel settled and it provides that stability in life but that is not what I aim for, there were days when I felt that I should go back and get a regular job and settle down but that’s when I ask my self do I want that for a long run? and the answer was no, I enjoy and love acting I came here to be the best actor and live the life I always dreamt of living,
Aayush , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Acting is something I enjoy, I love being in front of the camera the opportunity of playing with so many characters portraying so many emotions is truly amazing. I still remember when I was a kid I always used to admire the life of an actor the fame the money the feeling of being someone who’s loved & admired by so many people, that was one thing that inspired me to be an Actor. As an Actor One thing that sets me apart is my commitment to authenticity and emotional depth in my performances. I believe the key to creating compelling and memorable characters is understanding their motivations, vulnerabilities, and inner conflicts. I strive to bring honesty and vulnerability to each role, allowing audiences to connect with the characters deeply and emotionally.
One aspect of my work that I’m particularly proud of is my versatility. I love diving into diverse roles that challenge me to explore different facets of human experience. Whether it’s a complex dramatic character, a quirky comedic role, or anything in between, I approach each opportunity with a deep sense of curiosity and commitment.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Artists often derive great fulfilment from knowing that their work resonates with and affects others. Whether it inspires, provokes thought, comforts, or challenges, the ability to evoke emotions and provoke thought in an audience can be incredibly rewarding.
How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
Help artists promote their work through marketing support, exhibition opportunities, and online platforms. This increases visibility and allows artists to reach wider audiences, both locally and globally.
