We recently connected with Aaryon Bird Williams and have shared our conversation below.
Aaryon Bird , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
I’ve been a risk taker my entire life but I truly learned the power of taking risk as a pro athlete and artist—Both have challenged me to step outside of the box and live outside my comfort zone in order to achieve the level of success I wanted in Iceland as an athlete and in Atlanta as an artist. I came to be the best version of myself in both professions realizing my childhood dreams.

Aaryon Bird , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Aaryon Lau Rance Williams. I am from Gary, Indiana, born 1986 to Aaron and Willie Esther Williams. I have one sister who passed away when I 17 and one older brother. I have four lovely nephews from my sister and two beautiful children. I struggled in school and sports until I moved to Omaha, Nebraska on my 18 birthday by Greyhound bus. I became a high school graduate, full scholarship recipient and pro basketball player within 7 years. I retired from pro overseas basketball at the age of 29 and started my work as a pro artist and youth development specialist. My works are featured in three regions of the United States as well as I have artwork that was featured on HBO. My business today is based in athletics, arts and academics.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
My ability to accomplish very large task and manage and empower individuals who work with me. This has allowed me to meet others and move up in all of my professions.

How did you build your audience on social media?
At first I was like everyone else. I wanted to be well known on social media. My goal was at first 500 followers on Instagram and Facebook. I was struggle to get past 300 on both platforms. So what I did next was figure out who was interested in what from me. I then started creating more pages based on those interests and I had to keep the pages organized. When I did this the pages gained clarity and now I have 5 pages with 1K followers or more between Facebook and Instagram.
