We recently connected with Aaron Moore and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Aaron thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
I really enjoy this topic because it has a huge part in why we have chosen this as our career. We constantly talk about how we have literally the best job in the entire world. We get to work with couples on the biggest day of their lives, and give them back a film that will allow their love story to be told for generations. We live in a time where photo + film has become such a valued part of peoples’ lives. The services we provide are more than just photo and film. We love our couples, and want to see them succeed in their marriages and in their lives. We hope that our films are a reminder to them of the love that they share. Marriage WILL be hard, you WILL have fights, and on those hard days we hope they are able to revisit their wedding day and be reminded of their passion and vows for each other. I hope that our personal legacy will be carried on forever through the films we deliver. We create each film unique to the couple so that they can relive a day that becomes a blur when it is over. Our couples become our friends, and we want to be a safe space for couples to come to in the future when they need help with marriage.

Aaron, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Sabrina started the business her senior year of college. She was studying to become a journalist, but after a videography class her senior year, she saw the power in documenting moments for others. This is our seventh year of business, and for the past 3 years we have both been doing this full-time. Getting to work with my wife every day is an absolute joy, and allows us to put our minds together and continue to constantly grow our business.
Running a business can be difficult, and we have experienced periods of our life where we did not know if this was the field we should be in. But this past year of our business, God has blessed us in ways we cannot imagine. He has given us a new purpose, and showed us the impact that we are able to have in the lives of our couples. We pour our heart and sole into this business, and use every wedding as an opportunity to do more than just work. We get to know our couples, we become friends. We have the unique opportunity to see people on their best day, where love is overflowing and memories are made. We strive to capture those precious moments, and to create unique films that will allow them to relive those emotions for the rest of their lives.
On the wedding day, we make it a priority to ensure the couples are relaxed, and take the time to enjoy the day, because weddings can be STRESSFUL. We do not sit in the background and press record. We take the time to meet with our clients long before the wedding day to make sure that we know what is important to them, and who they are on a deep level. Your wedding film will be the best film you have in your life, it will be a reminder of your vows, your love, of the family and friends that were there celebrating with you. They have spent so long planning, put their life on hold while they put together the perfect day, and we want them to be able to be fully present on the day.
One of the biggest things that our couples say about us on the wedding day, is just how much fun they had working with us. We are there to serve the couple and create an environment for them and their guests to just have fun. We know how fast the wedding day goes by and how stressful it can be, and we want to relieve that burden for our couples. We are personable, energetic, and very good at what we do. Making sure that the couple feels comfortable, beautiful, and relaxed is our biggest desire.
One thing that sets us apart is that we are a husband and wife team, offering both photography and film. The chemistry that we have on the day is unmatched, and we are able to get the shots we need in a very efficient and enjoyable way. Having vendors that work well together is imperative, and Sabrina and I are truly best friends. With the addition of our baby boy this year, wedding days have become even more special to us. It is a chance for us to be together doing what we love the most, and that shows on wedding days.
One thing I want potential clients to know, is that we do not take what we do lightly. In seven years of service, we have never had a complaint, never had an unhappy couple, and do not ever intend to. What we do is so important, and a huge investment, so we want to guarantee that our couples our confident in their decision to work with us, and are in love with their films and photos. Are films are full of audio, authentic moments, and are uniquely designed each and every time for our clients.
How’d you meet your business partner?
Since my business partner is my beautiful wife, I will share the story of how we met. I was a hot, sunny day, in the summer of 2008. Sabrina and I were 13 years old and were both attending a Church camp in Springfield, Illinois. I remember seeing her for the first time, swinging so high on the playground. I thought to myself, wow, she is awesome 😂 Going against the “no purple rule” (boys are blue, girls red), I asked her to be my date to campfire that night. After camp, we stayed in touch for a year through AIM and Email. We went to different schools and our romance eventually faded, but we remained friends throughout highschool.
In the summer of 2019, I had just returned from a year of military training, and Sabrina had finished her first year of college. That summer, I was counseling at the same church camp we had met at, and they asked if I knew of any girls that would be interested in counseling. I had been in love with Sabrina for years, but the feelings were not reciprocated. I thought, this is my chance to finally win over the girl of my dreams, so I told her they needed another leader. After spending that week together, we started dating and the rest is history. On May 19th, 2018 we tied the knot, and this year will be celebrating 5 years of marriage! 🥰

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
There are so many rewarding aspects of our business, but one moment stands out to me. When we are done editing, and get to send the clients their final highlight film, it is just such an incredible feeling. We pour hours, days, weeks into editing, and to see the reaction of our couples as they watch their film for the first time is just the best feeling in the world. There are so many moments of a wedding day that you will not remember, and many moments that you never even had the chance to see. So when couples are able to watch their wedding day back, and relive a day that is many times a complete blur…..there’s just nothing else like it.
