We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Aaron Haines a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Aaron, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
It came to me as I was laying in bed. The word majestic means having or showing impressive beauty or dignity. I take pride in my art as I like to call it not “work”. I want it to always portray a very beautiful, dignified, and impressive image or video for my clients to look back and remember and enjoy!
Aaron, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am from Brooklyn, NY but currently live in the Washington DC./Maryland area. The DMV they call it since I’m close to the Virginia as well. I attended Susquehanna Univsersity where I received my B.A in Communications. Since college I have worked with companies such as National Geographic, TLC, & ID investigation as a Production Assistant. I took a different route after to work at Verizon Digital Media Services/ESPN as a live event operator where I took commercials breaks for the big time televised professional or collegiate games on the ESPN app. Fast forward to now I just started my own production company that focuses on Weddings and Sports Events but also cover can cover anything the client may need such as Birthday Parties, Corporate Events, Professional Headshots and more. When I work with my clients I be sure to hear them out thoroughly, ask any questions to problem solve any issue they may have prior to the event to ensure a smooth production day/event. I feel what sets me apart from competition is my creativity towards my work but also the excellent customer I make sure happens with each client! I just want anyone who’s reading this to know that my team and I pride ourselves on satisfied customers so when you work with us just know we are assuring your vision becomes an everlasting memory!
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Honestly just being resilient in your approach to your profession and not giving up. Personally, the field study of production is a rough industry to break into so yo have to be ready to take a zillion no’s and roadblocks but as long as you STAY IN THE MIX and networking its just a matter of time.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect as a creative is the freedom you have of not working a 9-5 but also to create a new image or video for people. Whether they let you do your thing and be the creative or have a structure of how they want their video or photo taken it still allows me to keep doing what I love and it not feel like a job.
