Alright, Aadya Chaudhary, Harshita Chintapudi, & Ayushi Patel thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea came from what we were seeing every day at school. In our STEM classes, the number of girls was noticeably small and we realized the problem was about encouragement and representation. We believed if we could create a space where girls felt supported, inspired, and connected, they’d feel more confident stepping into career leadership roles. No one around us was really addressing that gap in a personal, youth-led way, so we decided to build it ourselves.
That clarity, and the excitement of creating something we wished we had, made us know this was worth pursuing. That’s how Empowerfly started.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
For those who don’t know us yet, we’re the founders of Empowerfly: a youth-led organization focused on helping young girls build confidence and leadership skills for their dream careers. Empowerfly now offers mentorship, leadership workshops, global pen-pal programs, and local chapters that create a supportive space for girls to grow. What sets us apart is that we’re led by young people ourselves, we understand the challenges girls face because we’ve lived them.
We’re most proud of the community we’ve built and the girls who’ve discovered their strengths through our programs. At the heart of it, we want people to know that Empowerfly is all about lifting girls up and helping them see what they’re capable of.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
Absolutely. While books and resources have helped us, the most influential resources in our journey have been the women we’ve had the privilege to speak with and be mentored by. Hearing their stories, lessons, and honest advice has shaped our leadership philosophy more than anything we could read. Their experiences have taught us how to lead with empathy and stay grounded in our mission and that has become the foundation of how we run Empowerfly.

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
Focus on communication, trust, and appreciation. When people feel heard, supported, and recognized for their work, morale naturally stays high and the team stays motivated.
