We were lucky to catch up with Aadya Chaudhary recently and have shared our conversation below.
Aadya, appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about serving the underserved.
Both Empowerfly and The Dream Start Hub focus on communities that are often overlooked. With Empowerfly, we support young girls, especially those from places where opportunities in STEAM and leadership aren’t as accessible, by connecting them with mentors, workshops, and resources.
Dream Start Hub expands that mission to early-stage youth founders, many from underrepresented or emerging markets, helping them access networks and guidance they don’t have. At the heart of both Empowerfly and Dream Start Hub is the belief that talent is everywhere, but opportunity isn’t, and the mission to to bridge that gap.

Aadya, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
In high school, I was one of only three girls in a computer science class of thirty and being in that environment was tough. When I talked to other girls in advanced classes like physics and robotics, I realized this wasn’t just me, it was part of a much bigger issue.
That’s what inspired me to start Empowerfly with my amazing co-founding team Harshita and Ayushi. We wanted to build the kind of support system we wished we had: a space where girls are encouraged to dream big, gain confidence early, and see themselves as leaders. Now, Empowerfly runs mentorship programs, shares resources, and connects girls with role models so they can pursue their passions without feeling like they don’t belong.
As Empowerfly grew, I noticed another gap: so many young people had amazing ideas but no access to guidance, networks, or resources to bring them to life. That’s why I launched Dream Start Hub: a platform to support youth founders, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds, so they can actually turn their ideas into reality.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building Empowerfly’s audience came down to two things: being consistent with posting and genuinely providing value to the people viewing our content. We shared stories, tips, and resources for girls in STEAM and leadership, and always focused on being authentic and relatable. Over time, that consistency and commitment to giving real value helped us grow a community that truly connects with our mission and we encourage those starting to build their media presence to follow the same ideology.

Any advice for managing a team?
Managing a team and keeping morale high is all about communication and trust. Always make sure everyone knows the mission being worked towards and how their work directly contributes to it: it helps people feel connected and motivated. Also, always try to be approachable and supportive, so team members feel comfortable sharing ideas, asking questions, or raising challenges.
