We caught up with the brilliant and insightful A G a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
A, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
The most meaningful project I’ve worked on is F8;(FATE MAGAZINE), a yearly magazine I created to recap all of my work from the year. It started as a personal archive—a way to document the creative highs, standout collaborations, and the overall journey I was on. But as I dove deeper into building it, F8 took on a life of its own. It became more than just a recap; it became a time capsule.
Every issue includes tangible memories—setlists, favorite songs, behind-the-scenes moments from photoshoots, album and merch art, and the contributions I’ve made across the year.
It’s a celebration of not just my own growth but the creative energy I was surrounded by. I also use F8 as a platform to spotlight emerging artists I believe will rise in the coming year.Capturing their stories and watching their progress makes the project even more fulfilling.
Recently, I started selling prints of the pages, which made the process even more meaningful. Holding something physical—flipping through pages that document an entire year’s worth of passion and work—felt like the right way to honor everything that happened. It’s a reflection of where I’ve been and where I’m heading, and being able to share that journey with others makes it incredibly special.
From favorite moments at events to the smallest design decisions, F8 is a project rooted in reflection, intention, and belief in the future. That’s what makes it so close to my heart.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m AG, a multi-media creator. I’m a versatile content creator with a passion for storytelling through visual and digital mediums. Over the years, I’ve built a strong foundation through dedication and a wide range of freelance projects—often exceeding expectations and pushing creative boundaries. My work spans across videography, photography, editing, design, and marketing. I bring a well-rounded approach to each project, whether I’m creating digital art, building marketing campaigns, designing merch, or crafting compelling visuals. I pride myself not only on my creativity, but also on my problem-solving skills, organization, and ability to collaborate effectively—especially when it comes to streamlining processes and boosting productivity.
In addition to my independent work, I’m part of a production company called No One Productions, which produces shows throughout Texas and owns a venue in Dallas. With them, I lead efforts in digital art, admats, marketing content, website design, and social media graphics. It’s a hands-on role that keeps me connected to the pulse of live music and entertainment while also expanding my creative scope.
I run multiple platforms—which focuses on music, art, individual artists, and the broader creative world I’m a part of.
What sets me apart is my ability to blend multiple disciplines into cohesive, impactful visual experiences. Whether it’s building out a campaign from scratch, capturing a key moment through my lens, or helping a brand find its voice visually, I bring both artistic and strategic value.
I’m most proud of how my work reflects genuine connection—whether to a moment, an audience, or a story. For anyone looking to work with me, I want you to know that my ‘brand’ is rooted in passion, community, authenticity, and delivering creativity that resonates.
What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
Yes, my side hustle has definitely turned into my full-time career—but it’s been a journey. I’m originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, where I was pursuing a double major in Criminology and Sociology. While school was very important to me, I always had a creative pull. Eventually, life took a turn—after losing my house and taking a semester off to support my family, I found myself at a crossroads with no motivation and a deep need for change.
On a whim, after working a concert 7 hours away, I decided to leave Arkansas and pursue my creative life elsewhere, not knowing more than a handful of people, and only giving myself a short time frame to see what I could do.
That leap of faith was the start of everything. I began working in the music industry, filming shows, touring with artists, and capturing moments through my photography. Over time, I evolved into a self-taught digital creator, focusing on videography, marketing, merch design, and content strategy.
Growth has always been my driving force. Traveling, connecting with others, and helping artists bring their visions to life became my fuel. I center my visuals account around all things music, creativity, merch, and marketing, while continuing to expand behind the scenes. I’ve worked incredibly hard to be where I am today, and while I usually stay out of the spotlight, there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing my work out in the world—whether on a screen, a flyer, or a stage.
I’m beyond grateful for this path and the people who believed in my work. Every milestone—big or small—has helped me build something that’s not only sustainable, but deeply meaningful
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being a digital artist and creative is the constant evolution—there’s always something new to learn, create, or explore. As a freelancer, one of the hardest but also most fulfilling parts is the level of versatility you have to maintain. My hand is in a lot of different projects and ideas at any given time, and while that can be overwhelming, it’s also what keeps things exciting. I love what I do, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
There are definitely moments where I seek out inspiration in media, only to come away feeling more pressure than motivation—seeing so many ideas and styles out there can make you question your own voice. It becomes this internal battle of, “What can I create next?” and that can be intimidating. But that’s also the beauty of it—if one idea doesn’t land, I have 500 more lined up. And no matter what the project is—whether it’s a flyer for an Instagram story or a full music video, or just helping an idea come to life—I always take pride in what I put out. It’s all part of the process, and every piece I share is open to interpretation, which makes it even more meaningful.
