We were lucky to catch up with A Doll recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi A, thanks for joining us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
the biggest risk I’ve taken was entrepreneurship. I’ve worked many 9-5s of all different industries , but nothing I was passionate about. I knew and felt like I was always destined to be my own boss. So I quit my apple tech job and went full time doing my aesthetic business. It was difficult at first . Trying to gain clientele, keeping momentum , etc . But good things come to those who are consistent and never give up! Now I am constantly gaining clientele and inquiries daily. besides the financial risk, it’s believing in yourself. Confidence will take you placed potential could never reach .

A, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a entrepreneur, body con-tourist , tooth gem artist, & filler esthetician. I started with body sculpting first and got certified. I wanted to keep expanding so I got my certifications in all three services. My objective is to give my clientele quality results , making them feel better about themselves while being affordable. Once I meet my clients we develop a bond.
Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?
Funding initial capital for business can be a bit difficult . A lot of people attempt to jump straight to the entrepreneur part and forget the crucial steps beforehand. I was working for Apple remotely . I was locked away in my room 50 hours a week saving every penny for my business. Every dollar you make is literally a investment back for small business owners .

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
A lesson I’ve learned is “ it’s a bad day , not a bad life “. A bad day doesn’t define you. Even bigger corporations such as Microsoft or Walmart have bad days . One day you could make your rent . One day you could only make $100. I would be discouraged if I didn’t have a good payout day. But it would allow me to sit back and collect. What do I need to work on ? New branding , how to keep momentum with clientele going , etc.
