We were lucky to catch up with 3RDegree Nikee recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, 3RDegree thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.

I embarked on the creation of a song encapsulating aspects of my life journey, harboring a vision for a choir-enhanced chorus. Despite the initial challenge of securing a choir, persistent effort and creative brainstorming led to a successful outcome. I collaborated with four individuals from a local church, overseeing every aspect of the project, from the song’s introduction to its conclusion. The resulting composition is titled ‘Heaven Gates.'”

Reside in Atlanta, originally from Chicago, I go by the artist name of 3RDegree Nikee. Throughout life, i frequently journeyed between Atlanta and Chicago. These road trips exposed me to an array of musical genres, setting the foundation for my universal musical appeal. I am a universal song making artist who effortlessly blends genres, rhythms, and emotions into a symphony that resonates with souls across the world. What I want people to know that my passion for music is not a choice, but a calling. I never chose music; it chose me.

Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?

Consistency, fearlessness, and the ability to silence negativity are essential qualities for success. Embrace a positive mindset, execute every idea diligently – this is the differentiator between those with mere thoughts and those who take decisive actions. While countless individuals may share similar ideas, belief in oneself is paramount. Maintain confidence, stay resilient, and trust in the flow of events. Keep faith with you on this journey.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

The acknowledgment of one’s work when individuals express admiration for your craft and convey appreciation for your contributions.
