We recently connected with 2Floody and have shared our conversation below.

Hi 2Floody, thanks for joining us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?

After my last season playing high school basketball I started making music and from the jump it was something I wanted to do at the highest level. I knew it wouldn’t happen overnight so I stayed consistent and year after year I got better and gained a following.

2Floody, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My first giant step into the industry was when I made my song “Down Bad” in 2019. After the song was released it gained about 100K streams in a week on Soundcloud. That’s when labels started calling and setting up meetings. The song really put my name out there and I was able to capitalize independently off of it and gain valuable relationships with major industry personnel. What sets me apart from others is my versatility because I can literally make any type of song and give it a mainstream sound. I am most proud of my consistency. I have been making music for 8 years and through the ups and downs I am still here thriving as an independent artist.

Can you share your view on NFTs? (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)

I think that even though NFT’s aren’t doing so well right now, they will still be big in the future because they have just scratched the surface and garnered major attention. There will be major upgrades to the NFT market in the coming years.

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?

I think society can accept that artists come in many forms and appreciate it more than it is already appreciated. The world is at a creative high right now and I hope we as a society don’t take it for granted.
