The best “advice” and words put into action I ever saw implemented by a client was back in 2019. I had a call booked with Jen, a yoga studio owner on the east coast who was really looking for a coach to help her in a big transition. I remember our first introduction call, which I took in Maui right after a deep vipassana retreat where I had undergone a massive shift myself. Jen told me how she was caught up in the grind of teaching yoga, planning schedules, and managing her studio (which had been her previous 10X dream). She dreamt of traveling the world, and imagined herself as a successful entrepreneur and digital nomad in a tropical jungle somewhere. I remember telling her very clearly, having experienced a similar wanderlust myself, to really take this down into practical steps. Though she wanted to sail for far away shores, I mentioned building her “lifeboat” of small, disciplined daily actions building towards this. And also potentially engaging in her own online coaching, group programs, and offerings as the beginning of a side hustle income. Both of these would cushion the financial and logistical blow of just “leaving everything behind” in a flash. We ended up working together in the following months in an intensive one-on-one coaching container where she started to hit warp speed. Jen also later attended by online business mastermind and retreat in Costa Rica. What is so wild today is that by following the energy and conversation from our very first call, to this day she is literally thriving in her exact vision. She followed a decisive plan with careful step-by-step decisions that led her to the traveler lifestyle and successful online business. And of course there was a lot of serendipity and carpe diem along the way…

I have been coaching clients both online and in-person around running their business, expressing their creative endeavors, and embodying their best relationship since 2015. I became obsessed with personal development, entrepreneurship, philosophy, and retreats/coaching back when I decided not pursue a Phd in psychology in 2013.
For the last 2.5 years much of my working centered around supporting singles and couples to date like pros and really unpack and practice the art of relational polarity. I am still working with clients 1:1 around this masculine & feminine embodiment work, though I have moved back towards business coaching.
Currently I am most excited about supporting up and coming coaches, consultants, artists, healers, musicians, and creatives to really reach peak performance and get paid well doing it.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
When you are starting out basically from 0, consistency will trump intensity over the long haul. Especially if you are using social media, content is king. Creating videos and livestreams consistently for years was how I initially built up my brand [it would work differently today of course with the current algorithms].
If you are offering services or products, I would go with the classic “undersell and overdeliver”. Really knock it out of the park with fulfillment and execution. You will then build rep naturally, and also garner an endless supply of authentic testimonials and referrals.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
A huge lesson I had to unlearn is my own philosophy around money. I was raised to see money as someone to hoard, to save save save… What I have realized is that money is not equal to wealth. Wealth, as Naval Ravikant defines it, is “businesses and assets that earn while you sleep”.
Meaning you gave to put money to work. You have to put money into wise circulation to really grown it.
