1MOD, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?

1MOD, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My journey into music and my current career path have been shaped by a deep passion for hip-hop and a commitment to pursuing my dreams. It all began when I was just nine years old, sitting down with my father, who’s a musician, and learning the ropes of programming drums. Those early experiences ignited a love for music that only grew stronger as I got older.

Around the age of 13, I fell in love with hip-hop, and by the time I was 17, I started making my own beats just for fun. I was living in a small town where opportunities for hip-hop music were scarce, but my passion continued to drive me forward.

At 18, I took a different path and entered the world of sales, specializing in selling smartphones. I stuck with it for a decade, but deep down, I knew my heart wasn’t fully satisfied. That’s when I made a significant decision to join the military, driven by my desire to pursue education and a more fulfilling career path.

Throughout my time in the military, I never let go of my love for music. I continued making beats as a hobby, knowing that it was where my true passion lay. After completing my military service, I decided to take a bold step and move to Florida to follow my dreams. I enrolled in Full Sail University as a music production student, and I’m currently dedicating myself to honing my skills and knowledge in the field.

I’m excited to say that I’ve started collaborating with local artists in the area, and I’m releasing projects at a pace of about one per month. My ambition is to make a significant impact on the music industry, and I have a strong desire to work alongside some of the greats in the field. I believe that my unique journey, combined with my dedication and passion for music, will drive me to achieve my goals and leave a lasting mark in the world of hip-hop.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?

Access to education is key, making arts education more readily available to people from all walks of life. This includes vocational training and mentorship programs to help artists develop their skills and navigate the intricacies of the industry.

Collaboration between sectors is very important. Partnerships can provide valuable resources and opportunities for artists. This could involve collaborations with technology companies, businesses, and other industries.

Intellectual property protection is often overlooked but is crucial for artists. Strengthening copyright laws and providing legal support ensures that artists are fairly compensated for their creations.

We need policies that are flexible and adaptive to the evolving nature of the creative industry. This includes considerations for the impact of technology and changing consumer behaviors.

Ultimately, it’s about creating environments where artists feel supported, valued, and where their contributions are recognized as integral to the fabric of our society.
