Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to 14hunnitvon. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
14hunnitvon, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Has your work ever been misunderstood or mischaracterized?
Man a lot, my whole life has been me being misunderstood and I think that reflects In my music because one second I’m rapping on destroyed 808s then the next I’m singing on a hyper pop beat to some chill shit on no love. I always grew up with problems in school getting in trouble but getting older I realized it was Becasue I was misunderstood racially profiled and didn’t know how to express myself so I had to handle it the best way I could. The environment I’m in really isn’t used to someone looking like me making what I do it’s very foreign so it causes me to sometimes hide or not show certain songs to some

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m unapologetically me. That’s the best way I can put it, however I feel you will know 100% lol and it’s Definitely in my art, I don’t like saying I’m a “rapper” and calling myself a artist really means a lot Because I am an ARTIST I shoot photos sometimes edit videos, pictures, draw, create clothing, Designs, Direct, write music, produce I do EVERYTHING fun fact the pants I wore in my video for 2day I made myself lol my music is for everyone I have a song in every genre but I keep a lot of stuff unreleased but I promise a projects coming soon!
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
It’s the Fans for me. I fantasize about being able to go into a fans Instagram live and just talk to them like I’ve known them and have that be the highlight of there MONTH and let them forever tell that tale like “oh my gosh 14 was in my live” you know, obviously the monetary gain is nice too being comfortable to live the life I want and spread the wealth to my loved ones but it’s just being able to literally love however I want and perform and just show the world my mind and create forever wealth for my family and a impact on this world 4ever

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I think finding out minnesota had a music scene changed my career the most meeting jed zilla really changed everything because I met a lot of people from him and a lot of opportunities came from them. Being able to connect with a lot of people that live just down the street but have been cemented into the game is inspiring. Because these people probably feel really out of reach for a regular person and I get positioned in spots where people took ages to get in or dream of in a short amount of time with less work is really inspiring. I have to thank my music because if I wasn’t ahead of the curb I wouldn’t be here.
