10Kforapair, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
I had been listening to music since I was a kid & and been listening to underground since a early teen so I took inspiration from the artist I was listening to. From there I just tried to put my twist on everything I did. I feel like the fastest way to learn is really just trial & error, u have to make mistakes to get better. I feel like I what’s gonna separate me from others is learning from my mistakes faster. You cant be scared to take risk or make mistakes in music, you gotta be real hardbody in this. Some days are gonna be good some days are going to be bad but you gotta stick with it if you really love music & the game. There gonna be a lot of bumps along the way like life outside of music but you gotta balance them out.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I been making music for 4 years now. I always knew I wanted to do something with music like Dj or shooting vids but one of my friends had took me to the studio & I liked the feeling of creating a new sound. The only reason I make music is to feel something from the music, like therapy or just trying to hear a new sound I never heard before. The music I make is real, its made with real emotions, real life experiences, & real spill.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding part of making music for me is the feeling I get when I listen to the song or watch the video I made. Another is when people tell you they felt something when listening to my music, its just cool to me that I can make a vibe & another person can feel something from it. I get messages from people idk telling me they listen to my music everyday & I’m not the type of person to be all in your face. I’m not spamming links out, doin gimmicks so I got love for anyone rocking with me.
Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
There are a lot of things I wish I would of know earlier in my music journey, just like how to present/handle my self, consistency, shows & the whole business of music. I’ve learned a lot from trial & error. I tell my gang a lot that the faster we learn from our mistakes faster we will get to where we wanna be & that will separate us from others. I didn’t have a OG or a mentor in this music stuff, I wish I could of but I didn’t so anytime I’m around my younger friends that make music or anyone really I try to give them some game that I picked up. I’m not gonna act like I know everything cause I don’t but maybe I can give you some game & that helps you be better than you was before.
