One of the most important ways to have a large impact in life is by focusing on communities that are ignored and overlooked. These communities are often the ones most in need of help, tools, and services but for a variety of reasons the largest players in most industries chose not to work on serving them. We’ve been so touched by the thousands of members of our community who are working on serving the underserved from tackling food deserts to building empowering solutions for the neurodiverse. Each week, you’ll find us highlighting folks serving underserved communities.

Each year, the Youth Foundation of Jersey City proudly “adopts” a local public school, providing year-round support tailored to that school’s unique needs.
First order of business, we give them a food pantry for the families of the school. We work closely with the Community Bank of NJ.
We offer after-school programs like dance classes and sports.
Financial literacy for both youth and their families, and we have an amazing relationship with the Jersey City Free Library to provide a lot of services.
And more, depending on what the school’s needs are. Read more>>

We operate out of our local farmers market. Our product is super healthy and we are excited we can share our great product with our community. Locals gravitate towards the market for the fresh healthy products that are hard to find in the local super markets. Also the foods labeled healthy aren’t always the case after you read through the ingredients. Our customers can count on the fact that our product is 100 % what we say it is and that builds a strong relationship with our customers. Read more>>

One of my favorite types of clients to work with are non-profit entities. Especially mid-sized and smaller. It seems like this market segment is somewhat overlooked when it comes to quality video production. Oftentimes it is a budgetary issue, or even simply groups not knowing who to reach out to. Since non-profit teams are often lean and mean, with personnel wearing multiple hats and juggling multiple tasks, branding and storytelling is often overlooked as an important factor in their work. Sometimes it is simply how modest the groups are and not wanting to look flashy or too proud about the importance of their work. One story that comes to mind is when I bought my first house in 2019, I had a neighbor who served on the board of directors for the “Big Thompson Watershed Coalition”. Read more>>

Yes — my entire brand was built to serve the people who’ve been historically overlooked, underestimated, and left out of the conversation. I serve the dreamers who didn’t come from wealth, the first-generation entrepreneurs figuring it out as they go, and the everyday people who know they’re meant for more but just need access to the right resources to get started. I was torn between this topic and “The Story behind the Mission” as it was through my personal suffering that connected me to the Veteran and First Responder community – as there is a lot of suffering in silence. Our Protectors are not protected from all the horror they experience, and are dying by suicide at an alarming rate. There are many reasons why Veterans and First Responders are not going for help as there tends to be a stigma attached to needing mental health support. There is also concern that there will be negative consequences if they share with someone in their agency that they are not doing well. Read more>>
