Hi Thomas, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The idea of Nostalgia was born over a decade ago, as just a dream. 2 1/2 years ago, it became a reality. A bar/experience dedicated specifically to the greatest decade in history, the 90’s. Me and one of my partners used to work at this local music venue and we used to come up with plans & ideas & how to implement it if it ever became a reality.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s very rare there are no speed bumps in business, especially in NY. You need a permit or permission for everything, almost feels like being micro managed. We had a space that didn’t work out, not for our efforts, but the landlord and the town were not adequate for us. We had tried opening this location during the COVID peak era, and it was clear it was never going to happen under that jurisdiction.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We are a 90s themed bar that brings a ton of fun and entertaining and unique events & things for people to do on Long Island. We take the idea of a bar and turn it into more than just a place to drink. It’s an experience, and people there feel like they’re a part of something
