Today we’d like to introduce you to Sharon Castle.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
As far back as Sharon can remember she has been a teacher. From a young Methodist Sunday School teacher to guiding people in the Weigh-less organisation, mentoring Young Achievers and holding numerous Direct Sales leadership positions, she always feels most alive when sharing and serving. She has headed up her own companies, from a Life Skills Company Leader, owner of a Personal Training Gym, a high-end Interior Design Company and director of a Construction company, she has also led many workshops in the business and corporate space.
Her thirst to learn more about the workings of the mind led her to study brain-based life coaching as a career, after reading an article describing the skills that always came to her naturally. In the early 2000’s Sharon completed her certification as an accredited Results Life Coach and has been coaching full time ever since.
Sharon is a sought after speaker, guide and mentor.
She has a deep and innate desire to help people and she has researched, attended and participated in countless numbers of courses, programs, lectures and workshops both locally and internationally. Her career has spanned more than four decades in the personal development field and she loves anything and everything related to mental wellbeing and self-leadership through the transformational coaching principles she teaches.
Her passion for serving the community and her mission to “be the change we wish to see in the world” finally came to full fruition when she co-founded “Wings of Hope” a non-profit mental wellbeing program and started teaching the principles to the local surrounding communities and assisting them to overcome the trauma of all the events Kwa-Zulu Natal has experienced since the pandemic. Her approach to life is holistic and fun and her intention is always to encourage and invite people to ‘wake-up’ to their own brilliance.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
With no degree in business, Sharon has managed to create businesses that have always done well, and continues to do so even at the age of 66 years old. She has endured multiple traumatic events but continues to strive towards helping others as she has endured and thrived through all the tragedies experienced since a young child in an abusive home. As a young woman she experienced a tragedy “on her watch” that could have debilitated her and involved an accident and subsequent death of a young boy, who was her son’s best friend. Sharon went on an oddysey to find out the truth and travelled and studied anything that gave her answers. Today she is a qualified Transformational Life Coach with over 40 years of experience in the personal development industry, Sharon currently coaches individuals, corporates, couples, parents and teenagers from all walks of life and trains Life Coaches through her online school Mindfit Coaching Academy.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
