Today we’d like to introduce you to Riviera Lambert
Hi Riviera, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey into the mental health industry stemmed from a deeply rooted desire to make a tangible difference in people’s lives. Witnessing individuals’ mental well-being struggles ignited my passion to offer support, guidance, and healing. I embarked on this path with a singular mission: to alleviate suffering and reduce the staggering suicide rates prevalent in our society. I remember as an adult; I wanted someone to help me with my healing journey so I could break this generational trauma that I witnessed and experienced as a child and in my old relationships.
This passion led me to write a book titled “The Secrets of How to Heal a Broken Rose” and to produce a documentary by the same name, focusing on mental health challenges in America. These projects were born from a vision to shed light on the intricacies of healing and provide individuals with practical tools and techniques to navigate their mental health journey.
Throughout my career, I’ve dedicated myself to empowering others, advocating for mental health awareness, and fostering a community of support and understanding. My journey has been guided by the unwavering belief that we can overcome even the darkest times through education, compassion, and resilience.
Today, I stand proud of my work, but I recognize much to be done. My commitment to mental health advocacy remains steadfast, and I seek opportunities to amplify voices, challenge stigma, and pave the way for a brighter, more compassionate future.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road to where I am today has been anything but smooth. Like any meaningful journey, it’s been marked by twists, turns, and unexpected hurdles. One of the most significant challenges I’ve encountered is navigating the complexities of the mental health industry itself.
From breaking into an often stigmatized field to advocating for the importance of mental health awareness, there have been moments of doubt and frustration. Additionally, the process of writing a book and producing a documentary brought its own set of obstacles, from creative blocks to logistical challenges.
Furthermore, the emotional weight of witnessing the pain and suffering of others while striving to make a positive impact has been both humbling and daunting. Balancing self-care while investing energy into supporting others has been a continual challenge.
However, these struggles have fueled my determination and passion. They’ve taught me resilience, empathy, and the importance of perseverance in adversity. Each obstacle has strengthened my resolve to continue pushing forward, knowing that my work makes a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
So, while the road has been far from smooth, every challenge has been a stepping stone, shaping me into the advocate and healer I am today. Healing is an ongoing process, and the journey is challenging, but it’s so powerful when you heal from things. I’m so honored that I had a solid support system, a sisterhood that holds me accountable and uplifts me simultaneously. With these women (Kenosha Seaberry, Porshae Davis, Mahoganie Harrigton, Alahna Parker, Rose Cross, Ann Harrington, Ambra Pullman, my goddad Tim, and my mom), just to name a few important people, Having a healthy environment helped me with these challenges that I face. It kept me going so I could help others. The most important job in the world is to be the best mom to my son and love myself.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
