Today we’d like to introduce you to Naquan Brown
Hi Naquan, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started out my journey through writing poetry and being a massive bookworm from middle school all the way to high school and between those years my poems manifested themselves into songs the more I continued to be consistent by making it into a day to day routine to hone my craft and my art. It was that never give up attitude that what helped me get to where I am today.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It wasn’t always smooth or the most rudimentary process, I dealt with setbacks, self doubt at times and contemplated on quitting altogether on various occasions. There were moments where I felt like I not only let myself down but also the people that truly believes in me down because I didn’t give it my everything, letting stress & pressure be a detriment to my mentality and wasn’t staying true to my self about where my heart really is at. It was always that fear of losing myself to wanting to achieve something so badly without being self conscious and aware.

I have been an artist for almost 11 years now and I am still mastering my art as both a Rapper & Producer. I’m known for not only contributing to music but also contributing to my community and uplifting those to keep going with both life and whatever it is their passion is. I’m most proud of not giving up on my vision because I am living it.

Don’t bother chasing success because you already obtain by still being alive and waking up another day.
